Updated points will be posted soon. Just remember to audit your own results.

Telling the VP's that there is a problem the day after the Christmas party is about 2 months too late.

Just so you know, I've decided to do the points my own way this year. Instead of dropping the worst two events, I'm going to do it like the olympics and drop the best and worst event.

Also, much like the judges in the olympics, I can be bought :)

If there is interest, I can also post the Top Gun and Dishman Cup breakdown.

Scott

How soon is soon?? The next Club officer that posts that they will have a result or info to be posted soon will have stand with legs spread for every member to give them a swift kick in the crotch!

Marcus, in the first place, Scott's not currently an officer; he's just a regular old member just like you are -- except that he has volunteered to tabulate the results this year. In the second place, Scott's not currently responsible for the hold up, I am. Now, isn't it too bad you didn't know that yesterday so we could have "discussed" it. :angeldevil:

Well, I'm pretty sure the final edit is done.

Here's a summary of things:

It's a done deal, they can't lose it no matter how hard they try (even not showing):
SS: Adam Breakey (uncontested)
BS: Mike Whitney (uncontested)
CS: Dustin Fredrickson, Mike Miller in 2nd
FS: Jim Pastorius
GS: David Spratte (uncontested)
ASP: Robert Plank
BSP: Rob Harvey (uncontested)
CSP: Vincent Keene
ESP: Art McDonald (uncontested)
FSP: Justin Pollard
XP: Patrice Bousquet
SSM: Les Davis
STS: Rodney Wright
STU: Marcus McRae
Ladies: Gwen Baake

That leaves a bunch of classs that still have some room for movement:
AS is going to the wire between Rick Butters and Tom Osetek. A win for Tom results in a dead heat (the tie break is even).

DS is a lock for Chuck Branscomb, if he comes to the event.

ES is another close battle. Chris Brown is leading Keith Vail, but if Keith wins, then it's a tie for the season (even the tie break is all even).

HS is another close one, with Bernie holding a narrow 3 point lead over Mary. If Mary wins the event, then they tie, but Mary wins the tie-break (more first palce finishes).

DM looks like it will go to Chris O if he comes to the event.

SM is a great one with Chris Lanier holding a slim lead over Stephen Westerfield. There are several scenarios that put Stephen into first. Stephen has to finish ahead of Chris (duh) by *either* winning the event, or by finishing 2nd and having Chris finish 4th or lower. If Stephen is 2nd and Chris is 3rd then the tie-breaker goes to Chris (more 2nd place finishes).

STS2 will go to Todd Breakey or Jim Feinberg. Winner take all. Jim has to show at the event though, or he won't qualify for a trophy.

STX could go to leader David Frankel, or PJ Aspesi, but PJ sold his STX car, so I won't hold my breath on that one.

TIRE: Jasper Pollard, the current leader, has 11 points, so about anyone could catch him depending on the weather.

X Class: Scott Johnson has a 34-28 lead over Matt McGrain. Matt has to win the class to have a shot at the season trophy. If I finish 3rd or better, Matt is out. If I finish 4th and he gets first then we have a tie and Matt wins the tie break.

That's it in a nutshell.

Scott

I wouldn't take it since I have more 1st place finishes?

Sho nuff. I counted wrong. Looks like you just have to get the margin of victory.

So if I dropped the NOV suffix, finished my car and ran every event for the rest of the year and placed well against the many ( :) ) other competitors. How would I do?

It doesn't look like the following has been enforced:

Quote:
Qualifications for a year-end trophy:
1. Must be a THSCC member who paid by the cutoff date.
2. Must have run at least 5 THSCC points events.
3. Only best 6 results count.

There is still one more event...keep that in mind. I think Scott's calculations take that into consideration.
