My wife hurt her knee and isn't going to be able to run in the event this weekend, but its past the deadline to unpreregister her, what should I do? I emailed Swesterfield, hopefully thats good enough, please let me know if I need to contact someone else.

REGISTRATION issues should be addressed with the
REGISTRAR

(It's uncanny how those two words are very similar, eh?)

Suggest you contact Amy Mindick, our Registrar.

Judging from the waiting list, I'm sure whe will let you off the hook if you beg and grovel :)

If for some reason you don't get a response...make sure you tell them when you check in on the bus Sunday morning too.

You could have just said "email the registrar" and it would have been much appreciated, no need to be sarcastic about it, if it annoys you so much to answer, just don't bother. . .

Oh snap, I'm bringing a spare set of suede Pumas, a Fat Boys tape and a cardboard refrigerator box to the event so that Mister Mackey can properly serve Ozone here in a breakdance fight. w00t!!!1

He did, he just said it a bit harsh so that it was clear.

Official issues such as registration, "HELP, Im on the waitlist should I show up", "I think the way THSCC does X sux", "Can I run with illegal part Y" and all pics of F1 trophy girls are much better handled by a good email to autocross@thscc.com. Trophy girls must be cc'ed to me.

I think if you were to find Brad Sunday and introduce yourself, you would find him to be one of the nicest people in the club.

Hmm, the same old dilema. Let new members know the forums bring out the worst in people, or ask all forum members to act the same way they do in person. Hmmm. Why go through the whole "get to know them in person" when the first impression is already set?

Geez sometimes you guys are over sensitive. I didn't see what Brad posted as being harsh at all. He even had a smiley at the end.

I guess in all honesty, Brad is a grumpy old man!!

Maybe he just thought you needed something a little more obvious :) ...

From the top of the THSCC preregistration page:

Online Preregistration Deadline
Online preregistration closes at 8:00 PM on the Thursday prior to each event! You will need to register at the event after that time.
Also, if you preregister for an event, but decide you will not be able to attend, because events often have a waiting list, please unpreregister yourself on this page. If your decision comes after online preregistration has closed, please contact the Registrar and ask to be unpreregistered.

I wish her a quick recovery. Man, I'd give anything if I could get my wife Therese out there racing with us. I know she'd be hooked after one run, even if she dnf'ed.

no worries guys, I just wish people were capable of the same politeness over web forums that they are in person, its not that difficult to do. This club is full of nice friendly people, I know this b/c I come to autocrosses and have met and talked to a lot of you. I'm not really that worried about it, it just puzzles me why people have to totally change when they are behind a keyboard, its clearly an affliction many have on these web boards, I'm just pointing it out when it happens

I'm not innocent in this though, you are, at the core of it, right, my question was a stupid question that could have been answered by a little research, my bad, see you tomorrow.

Actually I think these are the exact words that would come out of Brad's mouth in person. He didn't change online. The difference is that if you know him, you know he's not mean or being malicious. In person you would know this. He's Brad and he's funny, it's obvious. I don't want him to change online. I want him to be the same here as he is in person.

See the other side? Maybe you need to close your eyes and imagine a smile on everyone's face when you're reading what they write?
