yeah, but the Camaro would have plenty of time to slow and turn, maybe grab a snack & a drink from the pits, before the Miatas caught up. :D

Not all Miata are created equal...

Just to continue the theivery of this thread. :-)

Mine won't be the most powerfull Miata at this event. Jeff Eng will be out with his newly "monsterized" Miata. He has dynoed ~10 more whp than mine, I've lost my bragging rights. Now, where did I put that credit card time for some more powa... :D

Walter, I believe we have doomed ourselves to the biggest post event complaint thread in the history of the THSCC. There is no way we are going to live up to everyone's expectations.

never fear Walter, Les. you will hear no complaints from me. ya'll could hand me a trophy at registration and i would still find a way to finish DFL.

i'm going for cone count bragging rights this weekend. or maybe DNF counts?

You are probably right, but look at how many people want to run! It is going to be fun and we will just have to live with the inevitable complaints. In every group there are a few that will complain, no matter what. The course won't be perfect, but we will do the best we can and add some variety.

And I'm going to be giving you competition for that award. I think we need to grid far apart so the course workers will have enough time to cleanup the carnage between our runs

I'll apologise to all the course workers now since I'm sure it'll get ugly...

Les, I'll assure you I'll never complain about anyone's course design. If I'm racing and not at work, life's grand. I've never raced a bad course; with Tarheel anyway.

Besides, my (excuse) scapegoat list is as follows:
1. R comps being worn out
2. Not walking the course enough
3. Clumsiness. I drilled the Chi-box at the last event because I missed the brake pedal entirely. I swore that I destroyed my new lip when I heard the impact and the marks are still on the car now.

As luck would have it, it was my quickest/ smoothest run.

Les,

I may have you beat on horsepower, but unfortunately, it still doesn't make up for my lack of driving skillz to keep up with you... yet

According to Stephen's calcs last season you guys (and course workers) are fortunate I won't be there as far as the cone carnage competition.

I don't think I will ever live down the Laurinburg Split-Personality Event last season. +41 for the weekend. I still feel bad for the course workers that weekend. I would probably have knocked over less cones if I had tried to hit'em rather than drive around them.

Wow Chris you've really set the bar high. I see our work is cut out for us, but Graham, Steve and I are up to the task.....I took out thirteen in one sweeper at Danville last year. Let the Carnage begin, ASP watch out!!!

Room taken.
Jim P. made a good point about us getting in love with Chicago boxes. We've had one at every event this year. So, no Chicago boxes in Sanford! Turn arounds? Well, that's another story!
