Hey gang, I just wanted to post and say thank you. Here it is barely after 6 Monday morning and I still have a big grin on my face. I had a ton of fun and learned a lot about me as a driver as well as some of my car's limits.

When I did a school many moons ago, I felt like an outsider. It was almost like the NOV on my car was a badge of shame. Other than the school the day before, no one seemed willing to help. Definitly not the case this past weekend.

I thought the school was very well put together and I like the way it was run.

Yesterday was great too, I just wish I had personally done better than I had.

I have one thought regarding the novice mentor program. It was a little chaotic that morning to find a mentor and make arrangements to ride, have a rider etc. By that time we had already picked our work assignments, etc. Maybe for the future, when a novice registers online they can request a mentor (if they have worked with one in the past) or they could get an e-mail from Dan with contact info for a mentor and they can make arrangements before the event even starts. In the event of a walk-on novice have a couple of mentors in reserve to pick them up. Again just a thought....

So thanks again for making me feel welcome and not bashing on my 3 DNFs :furious: Thanks also to Cosby for coaching me the majority of the weekend.

I look forward to running again in Sanford and hopefully moving my completed run percentage to 50%!

Oh, we can bash on your DNF's if you want us to.

Glad to have seen you out there and glad to hear that you did have a lot of fun. See you next time. 8)

Well, I think your first problem was letting Cosby mentor you. If it had been me, you woulda had 75% DNFs .... but some m4d tyt3 d0r1ft0s!!one1!

Sorry I missed Sunday, but it is GOOD to hear some NOV feedback this year (already!)!!

I also would like to say Thank you. I had a hell of a good time despite my slow times (must be the car  ), and my 1 DNF.

Thanks to all for making us feel welcome. I look forward to doing this again...

Hey, I was the one next to you in the pit. It was nice to meet you and it is always great to have some extra people to talk "Porsche". 8)

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

To Jeb and Johnathan and all the other novices who might read this, thanks for coming, and stick around! Glad you had fun/learned a lot, and I guarantee you'll keep doing that for a long time with this club.

A lot of people put a lot of work into these events, but it's definitely worth it when you see the looks on the faces of the students and the hands vibrating as they reach for the post-it notes with their times on them.

I meant to thank Walter Houston also for splitting a room with me and for not snoring. Certainly made one of my first outings a little more cost effective.

Wow! Only 1 DNF for a Novice on a course that long is impressive! Keep up the good work!
