Forgive me if this should be an obvious answer but....Why can you only have one kart on the course at a time? :whoknows:

Any club is free to make their own rules (as are we, hint hint), but I'm not aware of an SCCA rule saying only 1 cart can be on course at a time- only that no cars car be in motion while carts are running. Although it's never been clear to me why they allow Mod cars, some of which are no taller than the carts (including driver), to intermix freely.

IMO, the big problem with carts is they stall easily, and when they do the driver has to roll-start it to get it going again. And this can take a while, particularly if he's doing it himself.

Right now the rules say "no karts". But the current VPs didn't write that rule :)

If someone is seriously interested in running a kart, come talk to us, make a proposal, tell us why we should change the rules. If there is interest, we will try our best to accomodate you as long as it's in the best interest of the club (ie can be done safely and is not a total pain in the neck).
