Yeah, I still like to have a map to look at and I rarely get to an event in time to walk the course. I usually mooch a ride along or two to figure out where to go.

And all this time I thought you just liked me.

I can think of several excuses and I reserve the right to use them. :sleep

I would have to vouch that this is completely untrue.

He makes me look like a non-hack.

About 5 years ago I got a ticket in Sanford driving a pick-up truck hauling my motorcycle to a Sanford Moto-X event. That was pre-Valentine 1. Last year, the V1 picked up instant-on hitting the car ahead of me, saving me and Todd Breakey from a ticket. Just barely hit the brakes before we got lit up.

In actuality, Marcus doesn't drive too slow. I just give him crap because he doesn't launch hard during events.

Same officer, same stretch of road, 5 mins of each others. Mine was in a 55 though, not a 45, and I think we were both clocked at roughtly the same speed ;) He may have been going faster.

I got a ticket on the way to Laurinburg for the Anniversary autocross. So I guess that is 2 years ago. Going down 501 just before Scotland County. Took him a while to catch up to me. He wasn't impressed but was pretty good about it and only wrote me up for 69 in a 55. He asked me if I knew how fast I was going when I went by him. I told him I didn't. No point in admitting I knew. Ann was with me and fortunately she didn't give me much grief either.

ok, I guess I took a few different stories and mixed them together to get the one I subconsciously wanted.

Randy Melton's answer when the cop asked him if he knew how fast he was going: "Yes sir, now let's see if you can get it right." :D (I think handcuffs might've become involved after that)

   It was my mission to get him to and from VIR-F with no tickets this year and I succeded. Now I'm tasked with doing it twice more for trips to and from VIR-N in the upcoming weeks. Cross your fingers for me will you?
