I heard at the Sunday event that they still had some size 13s, so I stopped by on the way home.

They had two 13s left (like there are that many wrestlers out there that wear a 13). After some searching one of the three people that seemed to be working that day found the pricing info and said they were marked down to $39. I asked if they also had an additional 50% off which is what I think most people were finding and he said no.

I had tried on the shoe and it was a little tight. If they were in the $15-20 range I would have bought them just to see if they would stretch out some, but not at $40

Maybe I will go back in a week or so and see if they will discount them again.

Richard, when I went, mine were priced at $29.99, but there was a tag on the top of the rack that said an additional 40-50% would be taken off at the register.

I got mine a Dick's for about $25 about a year ago. They work pretty darn well.

The rack I was looking at (if I remember correctly) said something like ...

Clearance 10-50% off. Price as marked.

It took the guy awhile to find the price as I don't think either of the 13s had a tag with a UPC code. So who knows, maybe if it had a UPC code it would have rung up with an additional 50% off? The shoe was still tight anyhow and I am thinking it was not going to stretch out that much.

You can get the "real thing" for around $50-60 at www.racerwholesale.com.

The few extra bucks would be worth it for anyone who does HPDE, since to be technically correct, besides the long sleeve shirt and long pants made of natural fibers, you are supposed to also have leather shoes or SFI rated shoes.

Just FYI...

These shoes are almost gone. I picked the last pair of 10 1/2 tonight, there are several 9 1/2 left a a couple other sizes.
