Happy New Year, Ladies!!
Per the feedback we received last year, I asked that the Chick School be scheduled a little earlier in the season, paired with a Sunday event AND kept close to home. Since the schedulers saw fit to accomodate every request, I guess we're having our THIRD Chicks Only Autocross School!!! :redcool: (btw - it's May 27 at the Danville Airport)

While it is still early, it's never *too* early to start planning!!!! Is anyone out there interested in chairing the event this year? I am happy to pass the torch along to others - new ideas, new perspectives - always a good thing . You can either volunteer here or PM me.

This event gets better every year! Don't be shy!!!

Chris

It was just brought to our attention that we accidentaly scheduled the event and Chick's School on Memorial Day weekend. We may need to change the date to avoid family travel plans. It would most likely changed to the weekend before or after. Stay tuned for updates soon.

Keep in mind that if you move it to the following weekend, we'll have 2 weekends in a row with autoxes...

I believe all three of those possible weekends conflict with the Nationals schedule, but, if I had my choice, I'd pick any weekend EXCEPT Memorial Day (which is the same weekend as Peru Tour and has the highest chance of pulling instructors away!!)

Upon further consultation, *IF* the schedule is going to be changed at all, my preference is to move it to the weekend BEFORE Memorial Day. Second choice is to leave it on Memorial Day w/e. The weekend after would really blow and we would lose even more participation due to the Peru Pro.

Wow, I really screwed the pooch here.

I'll call Danville today to see what they have open, cross your fingers. I do not like the idea of having it the weekend after so it will be either 13-14 or 20-21.

Stay tuned.

Well I must be a glutton for punishment!

Since I am now officially a Stay At Home Mom! I think I have alittle time and I would like to help out and possible co-chair the school. I have never chaired an event so would like to work with someone who knows what they are doing! Since I have no clue! :D

Malia -
Chairing is not difficult, it's just a bit of grunt work - and lots of details. Fortunately, since this has been done twice before, I try not to recreate things each year - just recycle the good ideas and drop the bad ones.

If someone else wants to co-chair with you, I'll be happy to share every piece of info I have. If no one else is interested, I'm happy to co-chair with you. :P

Do keep in mind that Mother's Day is May 14. Don't know if that might have any effect on the Chix School student or instructor turnout or not.

UPDATE!!!

We have moved this to the weekend before, May 20-21. I know that still conflicts with some Nats stuff but it shouldnt be toooooo bad.
