The only Tour I'll see this year might be Peru. I will definitely be at the Miami, Little Rock, Peru and DC Pros. Nice schedule there! - AB

It is nice to see 10 Pros.

I am planning on hitting:
Ft Myers (Tour)
Miami (Pro)
Peru (Tour)
Peru (Pro)
Wash DC (Pro)
and of course Topeka

I am assuming that 3 Pros will qualify you for the Finale, so I have to hit these. I might add Arkansas into the mix if time allows.

Now, if I could find someone to swap rides with for an event or two I would do some of the western events. We will see if I can drum up a swap.

You only *need* two Pros to qualify for the Finale. Depending on your class you will probably need to not stink at one of them for some reason, but we're talking "need" here. :-)

Two of the damned Pros (including DC) fall on my already scheduled beach trip, dammit. The other is Denver. *sigh*

It's being reported on SCCAForums that the Miami Pro is very tentative, unfortunately. I hope it happens, that's for sure.

Also note that there is a Midwest Divisional in the works for Aug 5-6 at Heartland Park. If that happens that will be one hard to get into Divisional. I'm wondering if I can get my Dad to take my car to HP for the divisional, then Packwood for the Pro, and then back to Wendover for the Pro (with a little leaving-it-and-flying-back-and-forth mixed in). Hmm...

You needed two last year when there were only 6 Pros -- but the year before you needed 3 when there were 9 (I think) Pros.

So, I am assuming that they are going to go back to the 3 again this year

I think that's an improper assumption. It'll still be best two out of your first three, I'm pretty sure. A *lot* of people complained about the three-out-of-four format. I personally liked it better, but I believe I was outvoted.

Looks like you were right Donnie:

"While there will be more ProSolo events to choose from in 2006, points will still be scored on the basis of best 2 out of 3. There will probably be 9 events and we will publish the Pro schedule very soon after we get the last few site commitments. "

Stick with me, kid, and you'll go fah!

Or, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

You decide.

I didn't know you were blind, but it's obvious you haven't had nuts for quite some time ;) - AB

I decided to walk the NCAC course with Donnie and Eric hoping to gleen some insight from their collective wisdom. Instead I overheard the following conversation. (I'm paraphrasing here so don't hold me to the exact words.)

Eric Peterson: "You think you can take this flat out?"

Donnie Barnes: "I can, but you haven't got the sack to take it flat out."

So it seems that Eric, not Donnie, is the one without nuts.

Just my observation.

Ahhh but what you don't know young grasshopper is that they have that same conversation during *every* course walk.

Unfortunately, Jim is correct in what he said :-)

Sincerely,

Sackless in Hillsborough

P.S. Now I know what to ask Santa for Christmas.

Cindy has an update on SCCA.com. There are changes to the schedule... like no Miami Pro.

Read here:
