Junior's comment on the ZO6: In the hands of the average driver the ZO6 is a lethal weapon, someone's gonna get hurt.

I totally agree. A regular C5 is a lot of car. Then you move to a C5 Z06 and it's almost illegally insane. Then you move to a C6 Z06 and someone is going to land in a wall and it ain't gonna be purty.

Oh forget the C6 Z06. It's cool, but this is THE VETTE to have.

THE VETTE

All of that info on the car and not a word about how it *drives*. I mean someone should at least go run it at the strip and post 1/4 mile times! Soon as they do that, I'll bid. ;)

I read of two separate runs with good drivers hitting 11.6's in stock trim. Not sure about the tires and I'm not sure where I read it either. Actually, now that I think of it, I think it was in an SVT Cobra forum.

Donnie,

You know that car will never see a drag strip or road course. Whoever bought it has a nice pedestal in a climate controlled hanger bay to put it in. Next to the other dozen or so collectables they own. However that package, minus the big gas tank, has been run on the strip and track.

Chris,

High 11's in street trim with the GY runcraps that are on it are not a problem. I'll be curious to see what they get with any reasonable type of slick on it. One of the best numbers I've seen on a bone stock C5 Z06 is 11.818 by a very good drag racer. I think most anyone can break 12 secs with the C6 Z06 with a little practice.

It is beyond me why anyone wants a Vette as a drag racer...

Graham
