Since many of the top times (for the R tire crowd) were apparently on relatively fresh 710's and Hoosier S05's which seem to like the cooler conditions this may be "part" of the reason those guys were so far ahead of the AS guys. Driving performance "might" be a factor too.

I was on nearly corded (corded on the 1st fun run) Hankook z214's. According to the co-driver, they weren't all that good when new either ;) - AB

I guess there is actually an advantage to having no low rpm torque . . . no power oversteer off of low speed corners like the Vette had out of almost every corner Sunday . . .

I will run a couple events next year in the WRX just to burn off my Hankooks that is unless anyone wants to buy a set of shaved Hankooks.

Sorry PJ unless Dan wants to buy 16 inch wheels the tires won't do him any good. The Hankooks are 225/45/16. They were shaved to 4/32nds and I have run 4 events on them. They have about 3/32nds left. Just in case anyone is interested.
