I was there last Tuesday, temp was 91. pulled a three hundred foot measuring tape to figure shape and dimensions of the lot. spent about one hour on the lot (dantes inferno all right). There was not one dry piece of clothing on me after only one hour of walking the perimeter and writing down dimensions. Don't expect it to be tolerable and you won't be disappointed. Take precautions that place is hotter than hell.

so Bernie, up for some ASP competition in the BLACK beauty? i am bringing mine, even though i had planned on bailing.

Every time you guys bring the vettes out I am not able to play. I will be in Denver for the ProSolo.

Bring them to the NCAC.

I just wanted to add that you can actually drink too much and it can be even more dangerous than not drinking enough(dehydration). I'm a runner and you have to watch this stuff. Too much fluid (hyponatremia) dilutes your blood -salt level and can lead to coma or even death. Runners die in marathon races because of this. The latest research and reccomendations say that your thirst is actually the best guide to your bodies fluid needs. If your not thirsty you need to be cautious about continuing to drink preventively(see Austust issue of Runners World).
Most of life is a balance.

Over hydration is an infrequent problem in autocross venues, remember Stephen Westerfield was (he thought) "drinking all day". And he was three gallons short for his body size. The biggest problem at Greenville will be lack of proper hydration. Urine color is your best indicator as to the condition and state of hydration. And as a number of folks have said, Gatorade or some equivilent should be taken in addition to water to prevent dilution of electrolites. And after all is said and done there will still be some folks that are dehydrated at the end of the day!!!!
