Presenting the THSCC Fall Auto”squash” extravaganza!
(please imagine a big orange pumpkin!)

We’ll be back in Sanford, where event chairs Phil Fauz and Amy Mindick will have an exciting and challenging course set up for everyone’s driving pleasure.

There will be a special award at this event, namely a big SQUASH. If you don’t have room in the car for a big freakin’ pumpkin, then don’t win it!

Of course, we’re not going to reveal the special requirements to earn the great “squash.” It might go to the fastest raw time (particularly if that person is driving a Caterham!), or it might go to the person that does the most squashing of orange objects at this event.

We will be sharing the site with the motorcycle school, so please take note of the alternate entrance this weekend. Some off road driving will be required, so lets be kind and not Rallycross though the grass!

When you leave the main highway to enter the site, instead of turning right and proceeding through the gate, you should continue straight ahead on a road that connects to the main runway. Part of this "road" is grass, but the old roadbed is still underneath it, so it is not supposed to be mushy even if it rains.

As usual:

Time change: 2AM (yup, we all get a little more sleep, don’t be at the event early)
Cost: $20
Gates open: 7:30 AM
Registration: 8:30-9:30
Drivers meeting: 9:45
First car off: 10:15

Thanks for helping make this a great event!

Maybe the winner will be the one who squashes the most motorcycle students

Looks like Mr. Hoppe is on the wait list. It would be a shame if he does not get in. A cheap way for me to win PRO :D

Now that Nicholson has decided to run STS, I am forced to move from Pro to STS in order to protect my 2nd place trophy. With the new mods and finally getting the hang of the car, I feel I'm up to the challenge. Let the smack talking begin :) - AB

Don't make Matt open his can of whoop-ass! (open it, Matt!)

Well, I was going to run Tom's car in PRO class, then moved to plain old STX since I didn't want to mess with the points race in PRO class (and some fodder appeared in STX). But then I just decided I wanted to finish the year in the RS in STS after Hoppe fell in love with an STi (I mean "STi owner") and decided to sell my ride out from under me. (just kidding, Tom)

So... bring it on, beeawches! :D

We weren't really worried about you messing up the PRO points. In fact, by finishing second and pushing Hoppe to third would be just fine in my book.

But it is Sanford. I might as well put snow tires on to run at that site. If we never ran at Sanford again, I would not miss it

Mike, don't take it personal or anything - it's just smack talk...
