Ok my wife Tina tried Autocrossing at the last event and likes it. So she is going to try to do all of the events this year!

Problem is, last time we had someone watch the kids at home. At the 4/23 event (and most likely others), we are going to bring the kids. With us sharing the car, that means we could be working at the same time as well as on grid at the same time. Short of there being organized babysitting (don't see this happening anytime soon), who watches the kids?

How is anyone else with kids at the event handling something like this?

FYI. The kids are 2 and 6 so they need adult supervision.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

We do it with 2 kids since 5 years now. I most of time ending up working twice, once for me once for Kathy.
Since I usually work grid now when I see that the lane A is empty I call Kathy on the FRS radio to bring the car in lane A.
For running I usually run first in lane A after my run I park the car in lane B, change the # and go back to the trailer to
supervise the kids ( mainly Audrey ). Then Kathy goes to the grid and get ready for her runs.
When Kathy has done her run she bring the car back to the trailer and we start all over again for the afternoon runs.

Richard,

Talk with the worker co-ordinators (The brothers Westerfield) and see if they cant schedule you and your wife for a kid friendly work schedule.
