We're preparing the Miata to come back out of retirement and into the CS wars. Between Eric Donnie and my wife I won't have to worry about making any more room for trophies this season.
We're also preping our "new" tow vehicle. We won't be bringing it out right away tho, the new trailer has to wait until the garage is finished. Hope to have all three finished (or at least usable in the case of the tow vehicle, it will have to wait for it's new paint job until it's had some shakedown time) for the first national event.

Jim or any other 88-2000 Honda/Acura owners:

I dont know if you have seen this or not but this a quick and free way to get somemore front suspension travel. This is especially good for us guys who want to roll low yo! :car:

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1059921

Scroll down to near the end of the post and read the post from CRXLee. That is Lee Grimes, tech director at Koni NA and CRX owner. Its safe to say he knows his stuff.

Rice, did you do this to your CRX when you lowered it?

Well, it looks like I'm going GC and Koni. Hopefully get it all installed in time for the test and tune, although I think I'll still be on my OEM 14" with Azenis.

Have to get around to getting some 15" at some point. Debating the merits of holding out for the new and improved Azeni.

Intake is on. Has been for a little while now actually. Need to see about fitting the Team Ebay front strut bar around it.

Maybe an ITR in DS.

I did not...the CRX has Tokicos on it. If memory serves, the brake line bracket thingy was welded on...no removal.

This is an excellent tip though. That Lee Grimes is a real asset over on honda-tech.

Stephen's Integra had that thing welded on also. A die grinder along with a little patience...remove it we did. We used a band clamp to secure it to the new shock. 8)

I've got a new bar up front that I had on for the last event of '04. Just received new Bobcat pads to try out. May play with Rcomps later this year. Also have a NOs system that kicks in for low rpms (800 - 2k) but will only test out the trigger mechanism by running some relays to light the under carraige neon bulbs instead of activating the boost. I'll need the courseworks at the test and tune to tell me if the bulbs light.

I thought about it some more, and now wish I had, so all you Honda people, do this thing. Having the car so low and driving it over *something* bumpy cost me two more Tokico shocks for that thing before I sold it to Bowie

The Ground Control billet upper shock hats also work rather well for increasing wheel travel. Got those on the race car.

I have a pretty good idea who's planning on running in STS2, but curious what everyone has done so far for prepping the cars :D

I'll be running a 91 miata with VLSD.

So far the car has....

Tein Flex coil-overs (ride hight set at SLAMMED to the ground 8) )
Kosei K1-TS 15X7 wheels
Kumho MX 205/50/15 tires
Racing Beat Intake
Timming set to 14 degrees
Racing beat sway bars

Still waiting for Borola cat back exhaust :(

Anyone planning on running STS2 that hasn't spoke up earlier?

Update

Alignment set..... Wow this thing really handles now!!! :D

Momo Start racing seat installed... fits like a glove and has tons of lateral support (no more banging up my knees on door and center console! ) Not having hardly any padding and sitting nearly flat on the floor makes the car feel more like a go kart :)

Still waiting on exhaust :(

Thinking that taking out the AC would add a big chunk of lightness!
Anyone want to buy a used miata AC :?:

You mean even more so? I thought mine already was at stock RH.

I'm slowly collecting parts but I'm afraid none of the new stuff will be ready for the T&T.

I'm apparently building a FM product showcase--for non-turbo anyway as I've got the swaybar set already installed, springs w/ matching KYBs on the way and an FM dual exhaust to boot. I didn't really plan any more than the swaybars but the parts came available and I went with them. We'll see how it works out.
