Here's Da' Facts:

'96+ M3s got the larger, 3.2L engine, supposedly to maintain comparable power levels to the '95/3.0L with the onset of OBDII requirements in the US.

The '95 M3 is the hot car to have for national level competition in SM, mainly because you can add forced induction to (up to) 3.0L engine in SM class.
