Nice driving, Peter Baio! You almost looked like me out there... :wink: Just a few inches to left on that 37.9 and you would've had Aaron! (not-so-subtle dig)

I had the most fun last night that I've had in a while (at an autox). Loved the course, had fun on the RE92's at first, but confirmed that I'd rather go really fast than play around and go 2 seconds slower.

Christine's grandma (also named Christine) was out there watching the whole time, too - this was the first car race she's ever been to, and she's like, really old and stuff. She really enjoyed watching; Christine said she got the most enjoyment out of watching the cones flying. :lol:

Hope everybody had as much fun as I did!

Kevin

PS - Tom Hoppe is a b*st*rd

Uh... yeah. A few that got missed are Aaron Buckley, Peter Baio and Chris Brown (all STS). Don't know about the rest.

You get an A for effort, though; now get to work! :wink:

Great event!!! Autocrossing a formula car in the "almost dark" is great fun! FYI my concern about oil pressure turned out to be a bad gauge!

The pics from last night are up; didn't get many because it was getting dark. Looks like these might be last bunch this year, unless some people want to get flashed... :twisted:

Note: I put yours first, Vincent - so feel free to stop the download as soon as it finishes. :wink:

"Final" results have been posted on the web site. Season points have also been updated.

http://www.thscc.com/autocross/events/2 ... index.html

Please audit you results.

Scott

PS: Points = top_class_pax/your_pax*1000
PPS: There will be a total 4 events dropped
(in spite of what you may have heard otherwise)
PPSS: Remember, this is all for fun!

Why drop 4? Why drop ann actually? Those of us that make the effort to come out to all of them get hosed by this system. Just my .02$

While I don't agree with this sentiment, you are not the only one with that opinion.

Reasons for dropping events:

1) This isn't an iron man trophy (we have a separate one of those being planned).
2) This isn't an attendence award (see #1)
3) Scoring wasn't even going to be done, but since we chose to give it a go, we decided that it would not be the primary emphasis of the series (having fun is the emphasis).
4) This encourages people to bring/try other cars from time to time.

<smack talk>
If it were all about points I would not have brought out the old Celica for any events, and I would be spanking Whitney into next week. Instead, I am 5 points down (and loving the fact that I got to play in the old car and still remain competitive in the series).
</smack talk>

5) The club officers made this decision, and the more unfavorable our decisions are to the masses, the more likely someone will step up and unseat us in the next election!

i think that some of the angst comes because the number of drops seems to keep going up. if my memory serves me, it was mentioned at an early club meeting that we drop 1, then it was 2 and 3 and now 4...

and lets not kid ourselves...we are all competitive people...if we weren't, we wouldn't even look at the scores. personally, i care just as much about the night series as the regular events (maybe even more so)

Yeah that was what I remembered too. Not trying to whine, NO whinging allowed, just curious.
