It look like a bad start in the morning with the gate closed and not being able to get in to setup the course. We finally got in to setup the course and manage to start almost on time. From there everything went smooth. ( except for the slippery surface).
Thanks to everyone that help on the setup, that's what make that club so great.

I gotta give a nod ot Christine Allen...she worked gate I think pretty much all of the morning shift (I didn't get there when the gate opened so I don't know for *sure* when she started, but the thread asking for gate workers implies she was going to be there the whole time and she was there until they stopped doing gate duty) and then she did a large chunk of the announcing. I'm sure she probably did stuff I didn't even notice, too. All of that and she didn't even *drive* in the event.

It's people that help out like that you really gotta say thanks to.

Thanks!

I'd like to thank Kevin and Christine Allen for taking up the slack when I had to bow out as co-chair with a nasty cold. Thanks Kevin, Christine, and Frank. Sorry I couldn't make it. Glad the event sounds like it turned out well.

I don't know what was more impressive the 37.xxx FTD run or the 10.5x @ 130+ you ran in the quarter mile.

That wasn't Patrice's time. His car is fast but not that fast, 13.xxx at 10xmph was his.

Doh! Sorry that makes a lot more sense. I didn't see his run down the strip someone told me that. They must have been mistaken.

OK, since you ask, the # where 13.4 sec at 105.5 mph.
They probably mix up the #. With some practice a few tenth faster should be possible.

So it's about as quick as a stock STi. Pickin' up groceries & smokin' Porsches on the way home...

Thanks everybody for all the help getting the festivities started & keeping them going through the day! Christine did a lot of work, but she said it was fun because she got to sit down during, and talk to all the cool people that were hanging around. She was having some back pain on Sunday, so that's why she didn't drive - but I did take her on two fun runs, which we both enjoyed. :D

And Chris, here's the thread you need to visit...

Thanks to everyone for a great event. I need to get a ride along earlier in the day next time.

Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

I can still go pick up grocery with a 31 years old Porsche that is as fast in straight line than an 2004 STi ( for less money)
Make head turn on the street like spinning top. Do autocross Raw time that speak for themselves. For Pax, the only Subaru that beat me this week end was driven by " Magic Tom ". And how about time on a race track.... Can a STi able to do that 31 years from now ?????

Patrice
That still like is old car more than ever.

Hold on now...don't too cocky there Patrice. I seem to recall you getting beat by a '73 Pinto which costs way less than a Porsche.
