Yeah, were it not for the brakes he'd be in ESP with a lower pax than SM2. Duh. But then the STis would smoke him. ;-)

EP? Wow. Though it might be cool to see what an STi could do fully prepped to EP rules. You'd have one hell of a money pit, though!

However in 30 years the 'Buru will have long been crushed and recycled.
The 911 might still be running. There is something to be said for old tech. :D
Pop! Was that the sound of Tom Hoppe breaking another transmission. :P

Didn't dyno the car yet, but I run the number of the 1/4 mile in some program to find the HP and it came out at around 200 hp at the wheel.
Weight is around 2150 lbs. in these program you have to put the weight with the driver so I put 2300 lbs.

Okay, so now I don't feel so bad.

Porsche: highly modified, but legal / MR2: basically stock
HP at wheels 200 / 178
Weight 2150 / 2830
Car age: 31 (kind of) / 14 (real)
Driver age 30-something / 50-something
Driver wt. 150 / 180-something (ahem)
Driver skill excellent / sucks!

So no wonder I can't even get close. But it really burns me that Feinburg jumps in my car for the first time and beats me by seconds! I guess that gets back to the driver skill factor...oh well. Now let's talk fun factor and it is hard for anyone to beat the amount of fun I have.

Darn Kids. My first autocross was in 1969/70 in a new 1969 Mustang GT (purchased through the PX in DaNang, Vietnam). Got serious in 1975 in my 1974 Datsun 260Z (purchased less than a week after doing a Bondarant school at Sears Point and driving a 240Z one day) and a friend's 1972 240Z.
