Really, to clear the argument between Japanese, American, German, etc. What we should do is:

Take the best Raw time of each country added to to the best Pax time of each country.
The added time will determine the winning country.

The results of each event so far this year is:

Laurinburg: German 1st 119.994 Japanese 2nd 121.499 American 3rd 121.685

Danville: German 1st 83.574 Japanese 2nd 83.972 American 3rd 85.217

Sanford: Japanese 1st 83.540 German 2nd 84.067 American 3rd 84.807

Rockingham: Japanese 1st 81.633 German 2nd 82.402 American 3rd 83.519

Adding all 4 events give the following:
German 1st 370.037 Japanese 2nd 370.644 American 3rd 375.228

Interesting, is an it !!!!

well, that's not exactly a valid method of statistical analysis, but........since the germans are winning, who cares.

You going to front me a set of S04's to make sure it is a level playing field

I live my life judging a date if she is Hoosier worthy! A nice dinner and show will cost me almost as much as a Hoosier....is she worth it

Germans love the singing career of David Hasselhoff, the Japanese created karaoke and Americans invented Rock and Roll. You be the judge.

Level it? On concrete, my MX's (which aren't supposed to be the fast tire) are certainly not as good as even a decent set of V700's on a stock tired car. Take a look at the PAX results from Peru, and look at where the first ST car landed :) http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/indexes/results/2004_tour_peru.pdf

Come on Aaron, how can you go and compare PAX results like that, particularly with the "weak" STS field. The winner of the class freely admits our region is rather "light" on talent, and he's from around here, so that must mean it was a weak class!

Weak? Need I remind you of Andy Hollis whipping a lot of talent's arse over this year:

San Diego Tour: Andy was 2nd to Kevin McCormick by .8 sec (Kevin beat last years National Champ (Ken Motonishi) by 1 second this year in the Atwater Tour, and finished 3rd at Nats '03). Andy did smoke Jason Roades (4th at Nats '03), and Will Kalman (9th at Nats '03).

Houston Tour: 2.1 second win over multi-time HS champion Gerry Terranova (same car now in STS trim). He beat Robert Seelig by 4 seconds (7th at Nats '03), but Robert was sitting on a single cone.

DC Tour: Hollis dominates a heavy field of talent, including Ryan Thompson (Ft. Myers Tour winner '04), Corey Ridgick (Many Pro wins '04), Jeff Hurst (coned away Nationals 4th place in '03), Michael Occhipinti (6th at Nats '03).

So, was it really a soft field with Heyward beating Hollis by .3 second? Tad Kaminski(12th at Nats '03) and Doug Allen(8th at Nats '03) are good drivers, especially when you factor in that Nats '03 had 52drivers, and they got peed on by Hollis/Wagner.

I need not go on... - AB

Where did he say that? :) Not being defensive or anything, that just seems like the kind of quote I want to save for future ammunition. Heh, heh.

Edit: The last post on that thread is August of 2003, so it's probably not worth bringing it back up to the top.
