As a reminder, please do NOT repost this onto social media yet. We want to give members the ability to sign up first.

Looking forward to it! When will the non-membership access be released?

I can't recall this exactly, but we had discussed spectator ridealongs previously for this event...Is this still a thing? Likely untimed fun runs, right? One of my partners at work is interested in this and hopefully the Novice School so I wanted to give him a ride, but he's on call and can't hang around for the whole event.

Likely doing 4 timed runs followed by fun runs. For fun runs, we do allow passenger ride alongs, so long as they have signed the appropriate waivers.

I have had several club members this past weekend state they never were given access to forums with a valid membership. I told them they have to register a user. We need to make sure we address this in our drivers meetings.

Been auto-crossing on and OFF for a while now, yet I find myself driving more OFF than ON.

That's a question best directed to Zach and/or Francis as they are the forum admins. I help occasionally but no longer deal with new member registration, etc. on a regular basis. But I will give my opinion as to what to do.

I would also be curious as to what we tell (from an instructions perspective on how to get onto the forum) to new members. Is there some type of new member packet? Lastly, if they have registered and have not had their account approved, they need to email forums@thscc.com (that should go to Zach, Francis, me, and maybe others). Include the email address they registered with, their membership number and when they joined (so it can be compared to whatever list we have from MSR and/or Bowie).

I'm not really sure what the procedure is to be honest, every now and then I see forum sign ups and compare them to the membership details in MSR before activating them or not.

The registration form asks for a secret to be entered to allow folks to register and asks them to email forum@thscc.com if they don't know it.

I think I'd like to make this a bit more user friendly, but the first step will be to get the membership stuff up to date in MSR first, which is something we're working on.

Your likely doing the right thing. I think most of the time it works. When I was doing it sometimes...

1. Someone would fall through the cracks. It was my fault as they would register and I would miss the email. I only knew about the mistake if someone emailed to ask why they were not approved.
2. Register without using their real name then never respond to my emails to fix it. Never sure if they were even a member or not.
3. Never register as they expected it to be automatic (not unreasonable, but not how it work)

Only question I have is if MSR or Bowie's list is the primary source?

Bowie sends all new members a membership packet. Forum access instructions should be part of it, but you can ask him at Wednesday's meeting.
