Quick turnaround! August 2nd, we will be starting late due to quiet hour until noon, so don't let the longer drive be a problem for you. Course will not actually open for walks until about 10 oclock as we have to set up the morning of.

Where are all the signups?

9 now. Austin won't be there, so guess this season trophy for Novice is looking good, unless Talya whoops my ass....

Oh yippie! This a late start event? Not having to get up at 4:45am is a wonderful thing.

Can't wait to check this site out and found a video (with very nice harmonics) with a shot of the lot for anyone else that hasn't attended.

They used to hold ProSolos here.

It is a convenient location for Raleigh folks due to the late start. Leave home at 6:30 or so and be there by about 9 including a quick breakfast stop.

It is big but also bumpy in some areas. It was tight for Pro Solos but worked pretty well.

We will be at a Pro Solo in Wilmington, OH unfortunately.

Sadly I am still up in the air about this event. It is the weekend before my wife, sister, and sister in laws(soon to be) birthday, so not sure how much trouble I would be in.

Not looking too good at the moment for this weekend. Sitting at 32 entries at this time. I know we'll have a few more entries by Thur. How many do we need to make this event work? 45? 50?

May I also recommend NOT to have just a single split run group. We almost need our old setup. It's asking too much to have folks spend 2+ hours out on course. If we have 2 run groups again, may I suggest 2-3 runs in the morning for each group, quick lunch and then 2 afternoon runs each group. When I did these single run groups in the past I got a lot of grief from folks and I agree. It's too much cone shagging and too much time in the heat. It's more time over all on the event, but easier on workers.

The event is happening, too late to cancel at this point. If we cancel, we'd just be paying for it and giving up the chance at revenue.

As for split run groups, yes, we will definitely consider it. We thought about it at NCCAR this past event, but that site just takes SO long to get workers to their stations is why we chose not to. I was a bit uncomfortable with the length of work sessions as well. It depends on a lot of things though. What is the actual size of those groups, number of 2 driver cars, potential for "r" word, etc. Your advice doesnt' fall on deaf ears (but we reserve the right to ignore it until you run for VP again). :D
