Going ahead and starting a thread here. Anybody want a free hotel room for driving the bus? I can drive it, but if I do, I need a codrive, preferably in a C-street car (we have a couple of those don't we?).

I won't be able to make this one, so i'll need to find somebody to do tech for it. This should be the only even I can't make this year.

I mentioned it to Austin and he was cool doing it unless somebody else specifically is interested in doing it.

Brice, I don't think my work schedule will allow me to drive the bus, but you are welcome to co-drive whatever I bring. Probably going to be the ES miata (with new tires), but I'm thinking about bringing the 968.

Turner, thank you for the offer, but I am pretty sure I can't fit in a stock NA or NB miata that hasn't had a foamectomy done to the seat (my legs contact the steering wheel severely limiting my ability to autocross it).

Any other takers? I will obviously work out some sort of compensation agreement with you for the tire wear.

I believe the party room will be at the Holiday Inn express for the weekend.

Hotels are oddly difficult to get for Friday for some reason, not sure why.

We're not going to have an event unless folks start registering for the event. I just did and we only have 24 drivers. Sign up!!!

Well, I guess my post worked. 80 preregistered!

So far Mustangs outnumber S2000s. Both badly outnumbered by red Miatas, of course.

That was fast turnaround!

I had a great time today. Kudos to the course designers. A fun, fast course!

Did anyone grab a helmet at NCCAR? It is a Black Bell with a bunch of sweat in it

Let me know, I left it somewhere while we were trying to beat the rain

I've been driving my S2000 for about 6 years. It is by no means a new car to me. On Saturday, I learned something new about it.

The car was on the rev limit in 2nd gear as I went through the finish. I've had this car on the rev limit many times, but there's always been something more important to look at than the speedometer. My helmet camera caught it reading 65mph.

I thought it would only do about 62 or 63 in 2nd gear, so this comes as a pleasant surprise. This seems like a pretty big advantage over the AP2 rev limit at 58mph (?).
