In regard to NCCAR, can you still use Jordan's and my help for the EV autocross? If so we'll plan on being there early. If not, we'll drag in late....

I'm in.

There is a thread made by Derek way back in January under the announcements section (top of autocross sub forum) regarding volunteering and registering to get free entry to the autocross. Do volunteers still need to follow the registration instructions found in that thread?

Hanged to have to leave early, but thanks a ton to the folks that made this event happen. Great competition in c street. This is gonna be a dogfight with (hopefully) some interesting late entries (Shawn and Noah, I am talking about you!). Congrats to Matt on a spectacular 5th run, and Lee for a really fast 7th and 8th run :).

Thanks to the Merrills. Very tough course today. I'll be back.

Yesterday was a pretty good day.

I'm torn between calling the course technical versus tricky. The first part was definitely there to make sure you knew how to read a sea of cones and used the VDA quite well, the rest of the course had you second-guessing yourself and then punishing you for second-guessing yourself.

Fun course and thanks event chairs. The sweeper at the top after the box was a hoot.

It seems like there were about 3 spots that really required early braking to not get behind in the following elements.

It was a challenging event for sure. I felt like it was a GIANT slalom for the entire course with a turn around at the beginning.

Thanks to everyone that set it up.

I was happy that my only DNF was from a spin, I managed not to DNF anywhere on course in my other 4 runs. Finally got my goal which was to hopefully replicate my fastest run of the day which was a 87.1 w/+1. I didn't quite muster that but did get out a 87.7 clean on my last run which I was happy about.

I really struggled with looking ahead on this course, and that's been an issue for me so far, I have to always tell myself to look up. You'd think from a guy who rides a motorcycle and does it out of habit wouldn't have that problem, but I guess there are so many things right in front of the car to focus on it makes it difficult.

Forcing myself to lookup certainly shaved over a second off my next fastest clean run though!

Here's my best clean run of the day, snagged first in Novice by over a full second PAX time I believe.

That course was exhausting! After a couple of runs where the car just kept gliding straight ahead when I tried to turn. I ended up dialing the front shocks down almost to full soft in hopes of getting a little bite at turn in. Remembering to brake earlier for the "outside" slalom cones helped too.

That course was a back breaker, still had fun. Too many freaking cones! It was a hard one for me.

Rallyx is workin' in that. :-) You'll have ~50% fewer cones on the 17th.
