Thanks Carlton. So I assume the decision has been made to stay on the current version of AX-ware so we can continue to post results? Is there anything we're losing by not upgrading?

As far as I can tell, we haven't renewed our contract with them. If that is not the case, someone should reach out to them and ask why our contract is listed as expired.

I think the general consensus among the officers has been not to renew. I think AXware has irritated quite a lot of their customers with their new "all your data are belong to axware" feature of the 2014 version.

There is another company called axti.me which quite a few of my counterparts in clubs across the country are checking it out. I haven't spent a whole lot of time with it yet, but from what I've seen so far, they have a very promising product. It's too soon to say we're going to switch. I'll be taking a closer look at it in the off season.

I'm also looking into building a replacement for AXware.

To save you a little time, Neal Harrington already has the name picked out.

I don't have a name picked out yet. Paging Neal Harrington, please share.

I assume you mean T.I.T.S. v2.0?

For the NOOBS; TITS stood for Tarheel Interval Timing System, and was our system (homemade from something else by me) for many years. And yes, I relinquish any claim to the name for THSCC use.

Can you point me to where in AXware's license it even talks about data. The one online is mute about that

BTW, here's the guys video who didn't work:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BBJfCz4o-E

He was a local from about 25 minutes away, he was chatting with me during run 2 before he left. He was driving a dodge truck and trailered the black civic. From what I gathered talking to him he hasn't autocrossed much, but working was discussed in the driver meeting, so still no excuse.

Did anyone find out what the deal with that black civic in GS was? No headlights and I just noticed it had a VP racing fuel sticker on it.

Edit:
Nevermind, someone posted about it above.

He's a road course driver, new to autocrossing. I talked to him for a few minutes. He probably should have been in SM; his Civic had an Integra swap in it. If I remember right from my swapped Civic days, that puts him in SM.

I did enjoy the full driving suit in his video! ;)

Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt about missing his work assignment... Given he may have some track experience (all drive and no work), he may have accidently assumed any talk of "work assignments" were targeted at someone else and not drivers? :whoknows: Entry fees are cheap because "you" are the course workers. :D

Just to be clear, I'm not trying to excuse him not showing up for work assignment, just explaining the GS classing. Work assignments were explained at the driver's meeting in terms that even I understood.

Shit happens... send him an email and let them know that they need to shag cones.

We had a lot of "road course" people out it was cool to have some unmuffled cars. The Duff car is not only loud it moves now!

But it still won't turn. (for track it's not even noticeable as you'll be on the brakes anytime you have to make much of a turn, but for ax it's seriously noticeable.) I'd say forget Robert and Danny, take the sway bars off... Roger and I love driving around in a "Stevie Wonder" car. (weight transfer is glacial, and leans almost to bump-stops -- it's glorious, and freaks out instructors.)
