Good to hear man! You'll enjoy the site down there and if anyone can help you in a pinch with tires, it's Jeb.

Yep, I made that phone call this afternoon. I'm buying two low-use ZIIs from Eric, and two from Jeb. So the budget ES build might stay under budget enough that I can get some pimpy looking street wheels. :)

I need an alignment too. I was always happy at Performance Chassis, but it's been a few years since I've had a need to go. Sturdivant's in CH did the Mercedes, and they did a fine job.

FYI to everyone: Long Road Racing no longer works on street cars. I already called them, thinking they'd be somewhat close during a trip to WF to see my in-laws, but no luck.

If those pimpy street wheels come from Discount Tire, I have a $250 gift certificate for a new set of wheels, from the last Jimmy V raffle. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any reason (or spare money) to use it. Even at $250 off a set of wheels and tires is expensive. Let me know, and we'll work something out.

I'd take cash, trade for detailing stuff, maybe a short buffer training session, a used iPhone. I'm not picky.

Damn, that was supposed to go to PM, glad I kept the acceptable terms of payment family friendly!

So I haven't been to this site for an Autocross before (although I've done work as a contractor at Cherry Point). Do we enter at the main gate on Roosevelt? Any special ID - copy of event registration and driver's license? I assume there is signage or directions to the site once on base. Probably silly questions, but I like to think ahead when I'm pulling a 25' trailer behind a 22' truck.

Thanks,
Cash

Just go to the main gate on Roosevelt. The MPs, in theory, have a list of names of who can come in. My experience is that if you have a trailer they just wave you through.

They'll give you directions and give you a map/pass to put on your dash. You pretty much just take Roosevelt Blvd way down past the runway then turn where NCR has some signs/cones.

Main gate. Your name will be on a list. You will get a base access pass with directions on the backside. There are two turns and signs will be at each turn.

Remember this:

1: Obey all posted speed limits!
2: Do not use your cell phone while driving on base!

Is anyone from the triangle going down Sunday morning? Or are all of you smart enough to get hotel rooms Saturday night?

I'm heading down Sunday AM - but I'm not sure I'm technically in the Triangle. I live halfway between Wake Forest & Zebulon.

Fun event and I'm glad the weather held out. I think we must have had at least a dozen or more THSCCers out there that made the trek.

Here's a video of the course

Thanks guys and sorry about the timing issues. Will be discussed at tonight's monthly meeting for a better audit system when computer goes haywire!
