THSCC Kart Enduro - Saturday, April 5th

I am in if someone needs a Clydesdale (6'5" @ 280) on their team. Or maybe we can form "Team Clydesdale" if all of us "large" guys get picked last! Maybe we need a PAX value based upon overall team weight

(yes I know PAX sucks).

All joking aside, I looked and as far as I can tell there are no registered teams. If there is an established team who needs a body let me know, or I can setup a team.

For some reason I think the team sign ups are super secret! I know that I signed up and it shows up on my "registration" page.

Ok, I just noticed that apparently it doesn't have to show who is registered.

Hmm, I had set it to show those registered, I'm not sure why they aren't showing up. It may be because there is no "assignment" like car or class number.

In any case, we currently have five teams registered so that leaves seven team spots available as of today.

Chris and I are registered as "Team Ball & Chain." So, it would be cool to have some other couples to run with out there.

Updated rules and regulations:

Race will be 120 minutes (2 hours) long.
Starting order and karts will be randomly assigned.
The race start will be a standing start on the front straightaway. On the out lap, maintain very slow speed and do not pass any karts and do not pass your grid spot. Once in your grid spot, do not go until a waived green flag is displayed.
Winners will be determined by those teams who have completed the most laps at the end of the race.
There will be two classes: Light and Heavy, as determined by the average weigh-in weight of all drivers on the team. Light will be up to 199 lbs., Heavy will be 200 lbs. and above. Each driver must weigh in just before the race. Drivers may wear all their gear during weigh-in, however, no ballast may be added to the driver or kart.
Each team must do a minimum of 3 pit stops (4 stints).
Pit speed limit is walking speed and begins at the threshold of the covered pit building. If you exceed the pit speed, you will either be black flagged for a stop-and-hold or a lap will be electronically deducted.
When changing drivers, the exiting driver may NOT push or touch the kart after exiting.
If you do not change drivers during your pit stop, the driver must come to a complete stop, exit the kart, run around the kart 360 degrees and re-enter the kart before leaving the pits.
No intentional bumping or blocking. A furled black flag may be pointed at a driver as a one-time courtesy warning to discontinue the behavior. Subsequent or serious infractions will result in a waived black flag.
If you receive a waived black flag, come in to the pits on your next lap and come to a stop and await instructions from a steward. Stop-and-hold penalties do not count toward the minimum pit stops.

I'm really glad everyone had fun and the event seemed to be a great success! Working with the VIR Kart Track staff was great and our participants helped by driving well, adding to the already outstanding reputation that THSCC has with VIR.

We will hold another 2 hour enduro of this same format in September during our HPDE weekend.

If we have enough interest, we may also hold a 2 hour, 3 hour, or even 4 hour enduro another weekend this summer, too. Anybody interested?

DNZ#2 had 3 stops. We weren't penalized for not enough were we?

Nope. I probably missed one of your stops, but it would have been reflected in the computer lap times. I only audited the podium positions.
