The stock -> street changes aren't our assumed 2.5%, closer to 1.5%....so that'll be interesting to see play out next year.

Not much shifting in ST* except STF finally got moved up a bit.

Rick Ruth explains some of his reasoning regarding street versus R tire index in the SCCAFORUMS thread http://www.sccaforums.com/forums/aft/444884

CM's Pax got tougher thanks to too many fast drivers (i.e. not me) since absolutely no rules/tires/technology improvement to make the car's faster. :(

One interesting comment from that thread:

Quote:
This is really going to screw things up for people running the street classes at local events (where everything is done on pax). The .975 factor Rick endorsed previously now varies from .980 for super stock to .993 for G stock. That means on a 60 second course, I only need to go 4 tenths faster on hoosiers to make up the difference in my G stock car.

It does appear that street tire stock class cars are being PAXified unless, that is, Hoosier A6s are changing compounds or something... :)

It looks like PAX will be tough this year from the perspective of the new Street/Stock classes. I'm not really surprised though, changes in the index tend to be pretty conservative with the benefit of the doubt going to the older classes with an established history. I will do my best to prove the suckage of C street pax in 2014 to hopefully make it's index softer in 2015.

While the overall PAX of the street classes looks to be possibly a disadvantage compared to other classes, what about between all the street stock classes (i.e. compared to this past year)?

Looks like Keith is joining the fray next season in F street in an E46. Looking forward to some fun competition, and hopefully I can make it to more events next year, still trying to decide on tire sizing though...

CM Pax will be significantly tougher in 2014 than recently. Too many hotshoes (not me). :(
