No more whining ES! The MR2 is coming out on street tires and stock wheels this weekend. Sorry people, they are Yohohama AVS's.

Get out of town! Thanks for kicking the last crutch of "they're on Hoosiers" out from under my crumbling ego. . . .

So why are you slumming this weekend?

Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

Because the site sucks :)

I have never competed with the MR2 on street tires. So we are just going to wing it. Hopefully a set up like Kuhmos need will work.

Maybe later in the season, we should do a car swap for an event. You drive the MR2 and I drive the Miata :)

I've actually been digging Sanford these past couple of events. They've had fun courses and hell. . .we're all running on the same surface, right?

Street tire, street tire. Well, we've been running on street tires all season. So, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, I'll share some suggestions:
1. Run the fronts at around 24 PSI and the rears at 55-65 (only if you think the bead will take it.
2. If you have a front sway on, take it off. You don't really need it with street tires.
3. Don't use more than 3/4 throttle. The tires won't take it.
:P

MIght have to think about the car swap. That could be fun. Ego busting for sure, but it'd be entertaining.

Funny. But 4 short years ago I got my start in a street tire shod Miata. Way back in those days, the RE71's were the ticket.

Don't worry, there will be some Hoosiers in the truck :) We don't like to lose ;)

Its Sanford, a BLUE Subaru will win PRO and PAX ;)

Which one?

Let me drive your STi and it might win ;)

Damn, that's cold. It's bone stock! <excuse>Plus we got that AS pax! </excuse>

I do believe we'll have tires in time, anyway. Should keep us from getting *too* pasted.

Can I start grumbling now about having to order sway bars from Australia (should be here in yet ANOTHER month or two) and the fact that no adjutsable shocks exist for the car off the shelf? Hmm, I should save those excuses for after the fact. Nevermind. :)

No you cant :P I waited 2 months for my rear bar to come in as well. The had to send my shocks off :) Also, no real adjustable shocks exist for the WRX off the shelf either....

Guys, guys, guys...they are still Subarus. It is like me buying a Monte Carlo SS and letting Feinberg think he is Dale Jr while driving it :)

Hmmm Not a bad idea! But only if I can put some of those Subarus in the wall...
