Spread the word about the state championship this year hosted by Central Carolina Region SCCA at ZMAX drag strip near Charlotte this October 5th-6th. This is great experience as the competition will be a little higher than your average local event, and is a great step toward a national tour.

When registering, in the field "SCCA Region/Club" be sure to type "THSCC" as this determines which club you run for with regard to the club cup competition.
Register here: http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frm ... t_id=13671

As for hotel, there is a "special rate" for NCAC attendees of $109.95, however this is more expensive than what some of us have been able to find when booking directly at the hotel's website without any mention of the event (thanks, Steve!). Be sure to shop around.
http://www.ihg.com/holidayinnexpress/ho ... teldetail/

And lastly, some of us will be going down early on Friday to do some karting at Mooresville Motorplex so if you're interested in joining us be sure to post in this thread.

Yep. Found a few nonsmoking rooms at the event hotel available at $90/night, but that was as of 10:30pm...situation evolves quickly so act sooner rather than later!

I bet you can get similar or better pricing through hotels.com, tripadvisor etc.

There is a Sleep Inn almost next door (same loop road). We have reservations using the SCCA Choice Hotels rate which was just under $70 before taxes on 9/7.

When is the last date for registering for the event? I want to see what the weather guess is first.

I just found out my annual beer/wings/beach trip was scheduled for this weekend. Haven't missed the last 5 years. Free place at the beach and this year we hope to have some live music.

Ugggg..... damn, what to do.... sorry, but I'm leaning heavily to the beach. Haven't been to the beach this year other than a day trip.

Yep. This is unfortunate and was a big toss-up for me, but participatory motorsports > spectator motorsports, so I'm going to NCAC. :)

I've got tons of club spirit, but the lure of beer, wings and music at the beach has ohh such a strong lure to me. Still debating....

I'm planning on going and I'm really looking forward to it. It will be my first NCAC in just about forever.

Rodney, we need your HS pax goodness. I'll even buy you some beer and wings if it will sway you.

Yes, NCAC 2 years ago at Zmax was PLAGUED with beer, wings and music. We went to Quaker Steak (play on Quaker State) that is a wing/car/beer place where you sit below lifts that have 67 GTO Bobcats above you :). The wings are pretty damn good (way better than Buffalo Wild Wings). And one of those Honda guys have to have some subs so we can play music in the parking lot at the hotel....hell we might find the elusive party room ;).

Being that this is 20 minutes from my house and I have yet to take my E30 out to the track yet, I may run it in STX. I checked the rules and fortunately all of the mods are STX legal. It's not a great car for the class, so hopefully I can do reasonable. It'd my first autocross since 2012 Nationals.

I still need to check with the wife I can get be freed from baby duty :) - AB

I'm going and the car has fresh shocks and alignment. Should help us PAX a lil better on the slippery surface. I'm stoked up because last time I drove Rob Lupella's car that had much fresher suspension I PAX'ed number one. Without having Hoosiers I doubt that will happen in a two day event with this many cars, but it should help us do well. If we had two or three more TT's in the club it'd be easy.

Are party rooms allowed in CCR? NCR seems to have banned them, but as we all know CCR tends to play from a different rule book.
