speaking of rules, what are the driver classes for the NCAC? Who's rules we following? Would I run RTF or RT/HS?

They have been scoring season points events as a catchall "tire" class, so I would guess T-HS.

I'm going and the car has fresh shocks and alignment. Should help us PAX a lil better on the slippery surface. I'm stoked up because last time I drove Rob Lupella's car that had much fresher suspension I PAX'ed number one. Without having Hoosiers I doubt that will happen in a two day event with this many cars, but it should help us do well. If we had two or three more TT's in the club it'd be easy.

I'm probably bringing mine too so you will have a backup car LOL

Are party rooms allowed in CCR? NCR seems to have banned them, but as we all know CCR tends to play from a different rule book.

Yep, banned for NCR. When we have to "talk" about it at a board meeting and make sure it doesn't make word back to CP MCAS in regards to having good PR to maintain a site. Absolutely banned and I will chat with anyone that thinks I'm being a dick about it.

I do understand your fear of losing an awesome site, no doubt, but is it even remotely realistic fear that a local hotel unaffiliated with MCAS is going to go tattle tell to the MCAS that someone was standing on a table in their hotel? Seems pretty astronomically unrealistic to me.

1. Someone at the hotel would have to actually see the table standing event.
2. The witness would need to care enough about it to report it to their upper management.
3. The hotel management would have to care enough about the incident to try and escalate it to someone... somewhere...
4. The hotel management would then have to know that the hotel patron involved was somehow associated with the MCAS.
5. The MCAS if they actually got the report would actually have to care enough to do anything at all about it. This base is full of marines and I'm quite certain that marines when they are out on the town having fun do far worse thing then stand on a table.

I think someone might be being just a smidge paranoid.

I won't get into specifics, but their manager is more tied into the base than you would realize. I'm an easy going person, I wouldn't speak about it if there wasn't a concern. We have been watched under a gigantic microscope the last two seasons by the highest of base personnel. So we obviously fight hard to maintain and keep arguably the best site in the state.

So I had a chance to hit the beach this weekend and stay at a beach front house. All it cost me was cooking a crap load of wings. I can live w/ that. So I have the beach thing out of my system, so I've signed up to drive in HS/TIR. Have to say the car feels good and has a great clutch feel right now. Should be ready to go after the tune up event on the 28th at NCCAR.

From what I see there's only 71 folks signed up and out of that only 13 THSCC'ers. Anyone else going?

Tarheel and Triad folks are renowned for preregistering at the last minute so it doesn't surprise me that people are registered yet.

I've got hotel reservations at the Sleep Inn but I'm waiting to the last minute to register hoping for a good weather forecast. One of these days I'll autocross on rain tires but I'm not looking forward to the opportunity . . . especially on sealed asphalt.

I've been a little slack on promoting this.. BUT Registration is open for the 2013 NCAC, and it's time to step up to the plate.

http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frm ... 1&psmode=3

Hotel info is listed on the MAE page.

See you there!

So for those that get in Friday night, we should go to Flying Saucer which is just down the road near the University Place area.
