I have a hotel room at the Days Inn for Friday night if anyone is looking for a place to stay assuming you're coming up early.

ummm, you people DO know that there's an autox this weekend up at NCCAR don't you? Only 49 people registered so far. Come on up and play! I'm not going to say a thing about the weather, but it looks to be decent.

I am bringing a couple of friends as spectators on Saturday. I could not remember the rules regarding spectators and ride alongs and fun runs. Do people have to register to do ride alongs? Do only registered drivers get to do fun runs?

Technically.... spectators are allowed ride alongs during fun runs. To drive, you have to be a registered driver, but I'll let the powers to be decide otherwise. Maybe we can use this event as an "intro to autox" for spectators, but not that I want to open up a can of worms here....

I'm thinking w/ only 50 drivers, we're going to have plenty of time to drive this weekend.... =)

I hope so, I am bringing along a friend who quit autocrossing around 2003/04 back when we had events with 150+ entrants and sometimes only 3 runs. It's taken some time convince him he will get more runs and be back home in time for supper with the wife and kids :D

yeah, kids+Saturday = no fun for Steve-O. Well, it's fun to see them enjoy what they are doing, but watching other people have fun when I can't get out there and join in is teh suck.

Our kids will be that age soon too, reminds me of the tee shirt slogan "Life is not a spectator sport".

Well that time is almost over, no Marching Band this year, we will still go watch some events. He is in College and he is working tomorrow. Audrey is in Volleyball at school and the games are during the week. Weekend are basically free.
Should be fun tomorrow.

Saturday events suck for me too. I don't have much desire to spend a bunch of time on Friday, and going to sleep early, for an event Saturday morning.
