Thanks Steven. Glad to see they outline their courses for Monica's sake. See you there!

Well I cannot used the Porsche for sure, I started it up today to take the Miata out of the trailer and it is having a gas leak on the high pressure hose going to the fuel rail. Look like I will have to replace the complete hose.

On the Abarth forum a few guys running in SCCA are jumping on that, see link below.

It looks like we will be a few from THSCC over there.

Fix the fuel leak  I miss seeing that car at events, it's been at least 10 years since I last saw it run.

Someone call out his comment about Zmax being the premier spot in NC. I've never been to Zmax but I don't see how it can hold a candle to Cherry Point.

Agreed. ZMax is #2 to MCASCP, especially since ZMax is a sealed lot, but the slope and grade make it fun and still worth the drive.

...and especially since ZMax has the wonderful driving range golf ball injury history to cars in the pits (like Jackie's car last year).

yeah, that....

I try to get there early so I can park next to the stands towards where grid will be in hopes of lessening any golf-related car injury.

There's a golf driving range next to the paddock lot? There's a drag strip next to a golf course? What is the world coming to?

I don't want my car hit by a stray golf ball, but I especially don't want myself hit (again) by a stray golf ball.

It's not THAT big of an issue, but it has happened. Shouldn't deter anyone from attending.

Yeah golf + motorsports is like Heaven for me...

Patrice,

How did this weekend go running the Miata? Did you get any of your questions answered by Mike in person?

Yeah, I'd like to know his explaination for a picture of a "stoppie" with moving wheels.

course design was great. CCR time management....not so much. We were in fourth heat, didn't even get on course until 4pm at which point we were told there was a "hard stop" at 5pm due to EMS leaving the site. Naturally, we were not very happy. They managed to squeeze a bonus hour from EMS and most people ended up getting their runs in, although in a much more hurried fashion than the first three groups.

I think it was a wake-up call for CCR in re: NCAC as it will have a similar attendance level. They had the usual scattered T&S issues everyone has, but had BIG problems with classing cars that resulted in one run group lasting 2.5 hours, and had a very long driver mtg (seemed like 45 minutes). It started off poorly when a semi charged onto the course at 40 mph during morning coursewalks, supposedly to retrieve a trailer.....I knew that must have been an omen. Then they started late with Junior karts...had a couple of broken cars...so, it was a lot of compounded problems.

None, however, was caused by a Fiat :stick:
