It's my turn to do some Jonelling.
I was driving back from Brice and Mary's last night, and as I went over a bump in my neighborhood near my house, I heard a click and a pop, saw something fly out from under the car in the mirror, and the exhaust got louder. I was approaching a stop sign, and by the time I had stopped from 45mph, the cabin was full of exhaust. It was bad enough that for the ~30 seconds left of my drive home, I decided to roll down the windows.
It turns out the catalytic converter had become mostly disconnected on the engine side, and some piece of whatever used to hold it together got sucked in and backed up the exhaust. The catalytic converter is toast.
A Berk high flow cat is on order, but definitely won't be here in time for Sunday.
tldr; my car is broken can someone give me a codrive?
That has to be the most "convenient" cat destruction story I've heard recently. Oh, look--daggummit-- My cat done blowed up. Guess I gotta find one of those Berks. What? Full exhausts are on sale too? Shoot, now I can't overlook that....
