I'm hoping to pull it of but have a wedding the day before. I really want to get back out to that site to see how the grip compares going from Star Specs to stickies. Last year was a great time even during the bracket race/monsoon.

Waxer

I don't enjoy waxing cars at all, though generally it's not as bad as changing tires on a 95 degree afternoon or a 34 degree morning. I do like to go look at rare and classic cars once in a while, and I'm very happy someone is going to the trouble to put on a first class show locally.

2/3rds of the field has been announced. Still waiting for the CSP Miata and STX S2000 class entries to announced, probably tomorrow :)

Like.

I don't usually even wash my cars more than once a year (although that approach doesn't really work with the S2000), but I've been watching Velocity a lot recently, and I'm seriously thinking about going to this. And driving my freshly-waxed S2000, naturally. I'm sure it will be a lot more fun and interesting than standing around a parking lot all day and "racing" for a few minutes at some point, lol.

All, we need some more registrations to make sure we can hold this event, if we know anyone who is coming have them preregister!

We might have some people from the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers there to scout out the club/event which could lead to new sites at Pope or Simmons!

Jordan won't make this event either, we're both at the wedding. I'll remove his entry....

Will this event use a "covered with gravel" lot like last Fall?

If not, are the corners likely to be as tight/slow as last Fall?

Thanks!

Dick

This lot is sealed asphalt Dick. No gravel issues like the back lot.

Great!

How about course/turn size? Similar to the back lot or more like Triad does with their small Park & Ride lot by using part of the lot twice per run?

Thanks!

Dick, I found this youtube video of the site from our event last summer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N75EauHFCrw

The lot is rectangular. It's on a gentle slope and with a crest on the back/left half of the lot.
