Hey event chairs ! Any hints on the format for the t n t? Will there be different stations or just a single course?

When I had the Celica there wasn't much use for a skid pad, but for the BRZ, yeah, I can have fun with one - and teach Sally how to do RWD with one.

We have not settled on one option yet, but in addition to the timed course we are considering either a shorter untimed course or maybe a pair of practice elements. It really depends on space. I like the skid pad idea, I thought the circle element we had at Rocy Mount way back was useful.

I, unfortunately, don't think Danville has the space for a skid pad + timed course + untimed course.

Which hotel should I stay at? Is the Sleep Inn across from the airport decent?

Yep, that's where I always stay. Breakfast is actually half decent and it's always been clean for me. Plus the gas station that sells all the best malt beverages (Mad Ballr etc) is walking distance from this hotel :).

Hey, you said that you gave up Mad Ballr for your New Year's Resolution.

Power steering just gets you out of parking spaces easier. Most people racing E30's don't use it because they'd rather have the extra 5hp that comes from removing the belt!

Thanks James. I ended up reserving a room at the Best Western (sill within walking distance to the gas station) since they have an indoor pool. As it stands now, I plan to have the wife and kids come up Friday night. If it works out as planned, I should end up with space for a roomate Saturday night. PM me if interested.

Any ideas yet on format and start time on Saturday? I would like to get up there and get some seat time in the M3 before Sunday, but I have an NCSU game at 2:00 too. :? Guess that means I'd have to be on the road from Danville by about noon.

Current forecast for Sunday is for rain and 45 degrees. I thought NCCAR is where we got crappy weather

Here's to hoping forecasters are wrong and the rain gets pushed to Monday, where it belongs!

If it isn't in the next few days, weather reports are largely just conjecture.

That said, my 10 day prediction is snow in Danville. I pulled it out of a hat.

Well, duh. Your guess sounds about right for the Weather Channel.

Like I implied earlier, the fact they are forecasting it hopefully means there's a better than 50% chance they will be wrong.
