I don't think it's kosher to sweep the course once the event is underway -- while it may not be intentional, it provides advantages to some drivers and not others. But renting a street sweeper, as we once did for Sanford, might help if the problem is pre-existing loose material, and not pebbles pulled up by the participants' tires during the event. Imagine the fun of arguing about who gets to drive the sweeper! Imagine the fun of figuring out what to do with the all the stuff that is swept up!

The Sunbelt site says a daily rental of a 6' Street Broom Image from the Fayetteville location is $310.
