Thanks for all the best wishes. It's been a fun week. The Finale was fun, and an opportunity to get lots of runs on the same area of the runway where the Championship courses are set.

I was very happy to have test and tune time on Tuesday and Wednesday as well. It's tough to go almost a week without racing when you're surrounded by drivers who are competing. East Course, Thursday's course for me, was long and technical, and was, by far, my favorite of the two. West Course was shorter and had more sweepers. Still fun though. I finished day one 1.9 seconds up, so Friday's plan was mostly to be aggressive, but give the cones more space. I was the first car out in the class, so had to sit on my last run and wait to see how things turned out. That's probably the toughest part since it's the one thing over which you have no control.

Getting to hang with friends that I've made from all over the country over the past couple of years is certainly a big part of the entire experience. Driving is just one part of it. Watching the best drivers in your sport, and seeing many of the best prepared cars in autocross is a big part of things too. Really, I like all the sounds as much as the sights. Downtown Lincoln is filled with great restaurants and micro-breweries. Eric, Chris, Jennifer, David, Jim and I spent most evenings there. :beerbuds:

There's certainly lots of work to going, and lots of walking once you're there, but it's worth all the sore feet and tired bodies. Hope that some of you will give it a try.

Congrats Gwen! Sorry I couldn't hang around for the rest of the week and watch you run but sure glad that you kicked some ass.

Gwen,

I remember when I first met you at a THSCC autocross school a number of years back. Its great that you have found a sport that you love and are able to rise to the top level! Congratulations!

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.
