The usual folks are going to be out of town for this event, and I'm hoping we can get two volunteers to work early and late gate duties at NCCAR.

Early Gate: 7:30-8:30
Late Gate: 8:30-9:30

You'd be stopping cars as they come in through the main gate, giving them a wrist band, and having them sign the THSCC and NCCAR waivers. If they have a valid annual tech inspection sticker on their windshield, you'd also put a sticker in the top driver side corner of the windshield to indicate that they've been "teched".

Let me know and thanks! This would be your worker assignment for the day.

ummm, we may want to rethink this a little. Won't run until noon, so maybe we can back this off some. How about gates open up at 8:30? We'll push registration out at well.

I'll talk w/ the officers and post up asap on times....

That sounds reasonable. Please let me know when that's clarified because I had heard otherwise (I was waiting to hear one way or another before making a post with times).

I'll still take the early gate shift, no matter how early or late in the day it is :)

So, since this event will start running two hours later, why not open the gates two hours later? Just saying, I know there people so very unlike me that hate sleep and want to be the ass crack of dawn early anyway, but I'm not sure what they plan to do on site 3 1/2 hours before the first car off. I don't plan to be there before 10am myself. :)

I guess we'll discuss at tonight's meeting. Good point Les.

Regardless, still need a second person to help with gate duties!!

If the late shift is closer to the 10-11 start time I'll take it.

If Rodney's post becomes law (8:30-9:30 and 9:30-10:30) I'm in.
