So I just emailed Milko, Rob and Liz a list of 163 unique novice's email address that have run with us since the start of 2011. Hopefully they can put together a survey and we can get some info about what we're doing well and not so well.

That is excellent. So what is the list of questions you plan on asking?
I did the scripting to pull the emails, the Novice Coordinators and Milko can make the survey :).

Unfortunately that list is only novices who preregistered but it's generally the case the novices are walk ups so we are missing some people. But it's a start.

I'll start something with Survey Monkey and send it to Liz and James (Milko) to see what they think. Rodney, patience please. We want to do this right and not just rush it out. Just start thinking about what ideas you have for the next event so we can get the artwork to Vincent on time. :whip: If you have an idea of what you want, I can deal with the artwork.

OK, briefly.............

(1) Let's just say that it would be an understatement to say that I am High-Maintennance.

(2) I showed up at the 2005 novice school and I was "That Guy".........

(3) It irratated me to no end that I was not allowed to attend the T-n-T at L-Burg in February.

(4) See 1 & 2.

(5) Nobody cared....................

I could go on Shawn but I am mostly exhausted at the moment and as James has said............ there is a race this weekend.

What? Outspoken? So Brice gets banned and Remchak is still around? :).

I honestly can't remember the specific trigger that caused me to put Brice in timeout. It was related to that thread that was posted above. I think that in hindsight it (the timeout) may have been over the top. Regardless, If anything, it makes a good story and in full on Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader mode, Brice must become club president to fulfill his destiny! :). If you read that thread that was linked above, you will see that I was a self confessed jackass at one point. Thankfully it was pre-forum. I think many of us had to learn the hard way that running the club isn't easy.

Regarding Steve, I suspect that if I had been consistent, he would have been put into timeout instead of being warned. I can't put my finger on who Steve is. Is he Jar Jar Binks or Palpatine/Darth Sideous? ;)

Richard

It will take way more than one hug, Steve is rather needy.

Steve to quote the poet Vincent Neil

Don't go away mad, just go away

Also something I would like to say was great to hear, Brice announced at "trophy time" where some people were going to eat and invited everyone to go. This I think is def a step in the correct path!

And there you have it. Well said Richard.

I think even Brice will admit that now seeing things from the other side of the fence he may look back and understand our position back in '06. We were doing the best we could for the amount we were being paid just like our current officers. This is a 100% volunteer organization so it's kind of hard to beat up on a person who is donating their time.

You may notice that the past officers are very careful about making suggestions to the current administration. Since we have BTDT, we understand how frustrating it can be and just how much work is involved to make it happen. Seriously, if you haven't been an officer you don't understand all that is involved to keep the club running.

Thanks again to our past and current officers for all your hard work!

Does the fact that he is high maintenance, easily offended and upset that no one soothed his feelings make his official position at THSCC not "Drunken Poster" but Official THSCC Autocross Widow/Widower??
