Steven C., At the 2009 NCAC, I had two days when I could do no wrong. That’s the last and only time that I’ve won C Stock. The miracle hasn’t repeated itself. You’re a great driver, the universe just wasn’t properly aligned for you this weekend. Every dog has his day, I was lucky and had two.

Not only that but he'll have Lindsey co-driving so there will be more people in the class

Party in C-stock for 2013? :woo: That's assuming they were wrong about the whole world ending thing. :D

I'm not sure if I'm going to get a Subaru BRZ or a Nissan 370Z but they are the front runners at this point. Either way they are both in C-stock.

I’m always glad to have more people in C Stock. I’d go with the BRZ, I haven’t yet seen a 370Z that competed well in stock class. They’re just a little heavy. The BRZ’s were doing pretty well last weekend.

Marcus, I really like that helmet cam. Even with the rolling motion from the G's you can clearly see where you are going, but more importantly where you are looking, plus the sight picture is about as close to your eyes as you can get. I know helmet cams are nothing new, but it just clicked for me :D

Yeah, I don't like many other camera angles for autox. I like being able to see what my hands are doing relative to the next element.

This vid is my last run on sunday. https://vimeo.com/51104583

I had a great run going till I caught a worker in the sweeper out of the corner of my eye. I looked to see if he was running for a cone. :) Made me lat for the next 3 elements and screwed the whole run. I was having a hard time looking ahead because of all the freaking cones. Good greif there were a lot of cones used to make the course.

Two things:

1. In order to use the facility we have to have Marines run, thus we have plenty of novices that need many visuals to help curb DNF's.

2. At many National level SCCA Tours or Pro's you may find a metric shit ton of cones used, this separates those who can "see the forest for the trees" see the course thru the sea of cones. It's used to separate the men from the boys in some cases. Yes, you could say the extra are used to trip you up.

If you're interested, here's my best time of 59.8 on Saturday, very happy w/ it but in watching it, looks like I could have kept on the gas a little more on the back side right before the exit. Oh well, next time....

And I have to give a HUGE thank you to Lindsey for snapping this pic... I like....

1. I wasn't complaining. Just say'n.

2. Meh. Another reason not to waste money going to a national event 8 hours away.

Uhh, what is going on with the quotes. Why am I credited with Marcus' quote about the cones? I don't have a problem with his statement, but I did not write it.

Rodney, Great pic. Looks like you could slide a piece of paper under that left front tire

Not meant mean spirited Marcus, just was saying 8)

It's too bad, there is much fun to be had at a Tour or a Pro!

I love Pros due to 12 runs (6 on each side) with the intensity of the drag race starts. Tours . . . not so much due to only 3 runs per course. Lots of cones with lined courses is fine with me (it is how I started in CA). Sure wish there were National events (especially Pro's) close (only 8 hours would be a major improvement!!!). Unfortunately the DC Pro with its hilly start (from what I've heard) doesn't lend itself to a car with no handbrake unless I install a line lock (not likely).

I know. It was a fun course. I wouldn't want to have that many conez all the time. 8)

I still don't think you could talk me into going to a national event.

Jordan, it's just the way Jon quoted me quoting you.

Yeah, one of the weird quirks of an iPad is it is easy to do that when quoting. I fixed my post to reflect correctly

Plus it won't let you embed more than 3 quotes so if you cut the wrong quote out you can come up with the wrong attribution.

Every time I go to an SCCA course there are a lot of cones...

I somehow managed to hit zero cones during both days of NCAC, no idea how. I certainly came close to DNF'ing a couple times.
