Looks like the weather is going to be perfect if anyone needs an excuse to get out and drive the crap out of their car.

It's at the Dixie classic fairgrounds in Winston-Salem.

Best news I've heard all week.

I'm working this weekend, so I won't make it. I am going to the Washington NCR event on the 10th....maybe others can join for slalomfest pt Deux?

I'll be there with an even BIGGER rear bar! Oh Lordy!

Getting ready for Blytheville!

Ahhhhh snap!! 8)

So Washington is 2 hours so if I don't get the call from the shop today (what better way to break in new paint than cones!) I'll be in Washington as it looks like 2 hrs from Raleigh. The Washington site looks pretty cool on g-maps.

Thanks Steven, it's felt like an eternity and I'm getting cranky without auto-x therapy. I've been stopping by the body shop every Tuesday for the last three weeks to 'check in'.

I'll be there. I finally convinced my old man to co-drive with me (his first autocross since college).

I know it is too late for this event, but does Triad offer a discount for pre-registering?

Usually if you just let registration know you're a Tar Heeler, it's $25 instead of $30. It's sort of an unofficial agreement to encourage attendance across the clubs.

Weather's looking good! Anyone else going?

Even though I drove with my head up my butt, that was huge fun. Great course.

Thanks triad!

Agreed...Not that you drove with your head up your butt, but that it was a great course and lots of fun...even though on my first run I hung left on my first time through the crossover. No one else saw that right??? Funny how a little thing like a stalled go kart on the edge of the course threw my concentration.

It didn't look like they got him far enough off course before they started sending people.

3rd in Pro and 6th overall made today a good day. The course was fun. I just wish more THSCCers had come.

No they didn't, I was distracted, but I am more puzzled by my own reaction to it than anything else.

Gwen, those were some great times. I guess the bigger rear bar was an improvement?

On a separate note, my dad had blast today. On the drive home he was picking my brain about what miata he should get for autocross, then I almost stoped the car and made him walk when he suggested an S2000. :stick: It was a great day in more ways than one.

Wise man indeed.

Yeah, fun day and I'm toasted from the sun but had a killer time in STR and got to ride along with a novice in a FR-S which was cool. That course was fun and the middle crossover section was tough if you made the mistake of overdriving it, especially the exit heading left on the second time through. It was interesting working group #4 and seeing the pro/x class drivers 'adjust' their line to not pinch the angle of exit as they started to sweep right before turn-in.

The two sweepers felt grippier than I thought they might and I'm starting to feel comfortable in the car and will probably loosen the front bar soon to get a tad more rotation as it was pushy under throttle.
