Guess someone should have told the rain that. Ended up at the gate about 7:30 and was able to catch a group going in. OMG that is a beautiful site and it was 72deg, slight wind and partially cloudy. Just a great day in general to be out.

I love it when the weather man is wrong when rain is predicted! :lol:

Guess someone should have told the rain that. Ended up at the gate about 7:30 and was able to catch a group going in. OMG that is a beautiful site and it was 72deg, slight wind and partially cloudy. Just a great day in general to be out.

Great site and great course. Unfortunately far too much "grit/sand" which in at least one place seemed to be inside the only relatively clean path. (Snap spin at the end of the fast slalom on my last run).

What a great event. Wally and I battled for time for the day he ended up beating me by something like .031 damn Corvette. Three tarheelers in the top 5 raw and the top two spots were that dang triad purple protege.

Last minute punts aren't practical when you are already in a Hotel in Havelock. Sure was happy to see "almost sunshine" at 6 AM Sunday morning. We did experience some sprinkles on the way home to Raleigh Sunday afternoon.

Max g's on the Cherry Point surface with 2 year old tires was about 1.3 g's.

At Zmax with sticker tires it was 1.5 to 1.6 g's with no sand.

And here I was thinking I was doing that sweeper all wrong because I was so far away from that middle cone. That and maybe because the tC was understeering right through it as well. Thanks for the video posts.
