Whore.

You have no idea.

I've also recently accepted co-drive offers in other cars too. Details to come once they're settled.

I'm going. I think I came to some sort of an understanding about my tires at CMP last weekend, so I'm excited.

How did you like those rcomps @ CMP? Did you measure tread depth before and after the event? Just curious...

I had a great time at CMP getting used to them. I did half the day on street tires, and the other half on those. They made noise, which I found delightful. No noise today in Danville, though. I'm too lazy to bother to check pressures, so of course I didn't measure. Hard to say how much I lost.

Here is some video of my fastest clean run. It was an excellent event with gorgeous weather.

+1 What a perfect day? 80, sunny & breezy.

Here's an idea of the course configuration and if you zoom in you can see the general idea of how the transitions were layed out.
http://app.strava.com/runs/6778314

So, my plan was to not overcook the "m" section after the turnaround and I think I overdrove it everytime but the decreasing radius turnaround before the finish was more fun than I thought it would be with the new sway bar. I try to take away something helpful from each auto-x and yesterday I learned that going to 1st gear isn't always faster on the tight stuff.

Using the crossover out & back is pretty safe if the first sweeper is narrow and well coned to keep folks from getting a little too greedy on the throttle and I think it's definitely the best way to get a longer course out of ole Danville. Food for thought..

Going to work on Monday with a nice sunburn ftw and I hope next Monday is no different. 8)

Longer does not equal better. I can do without the extra turn around at the finish although the course was a lot of fun.

I think that this course was my favorite of any event I've been to so far. Long, lots of stuff going on, and challenging. I say this even though I didn't get a clean run all day.

Nice.

That section after the start sweeper down to the turn around is where I think I was losing the most time. You look like you barely lifted through there. I was being chicken.

Here is my video...

I had some time, so I roughly compared mine vs Carltons.

The graph shows the delta (mine minus carlton)

For those who don't know..I was in an NB miata, Carlton was in Jeremys S2000. Carlton is a amazing driver, and I'm not :)
