In particular, we need an event chair for the 1st 3 events (well at least someone to help Rob for the Noob school and event).

Please volunteer, its a great experience, and you get to design the course to suit your specific car and earn the wrath of Remchak (if he actually shows up). If you've never done it before, no worries, its easy. You do get free entry into the event as well.

Edit: We typically only offer 2 free entries per event for event chairing. Of course, more people are welcome to help out for a given event, but we can't give out too many more than that and still remain solvent.

Since you're volunteering for this event, there's a few special issues to make you aware of.

1) this will be a dual event w/ the EV challenge event again which means we'll run the EV drivers from 9-11 and our event starting at noon. We'll need a short and easy course for the EV drivers.

After getting a taste for course design and other EC responsibilities, I'm happy to volunteer for additional events. Looks like points #8 and the non points events are the only ones with nobody assigned, so count me in for one or both as needed. If something comes up between now and then, I'd be happy to step in.

One small clarification for prospective chairs: it IS a requirement that event chairs show up for the events. . . :roll:

As we spoke yesterday, if that event is @ CP as you mentioned, and still 10/21, by all means, sign us up.

Kevin, Kourosh, as you may have seen in the announcements, the Circuitcross will NOT be tied to event #7 anymore. Are you still willing to chair given that it will only be a 1 day points event now? It will be on the 16th.

Kourosh hasn't officially backed out yet.

I'm GMing, and would be glad to co-chair as well for that event. I have some ideas I'd like to try out in NCCAR.
