Fine by me, but registration will close @ 8 pm on Thursday, so you need to make your call then. After that, its sign up at the event and pay the extra $10.

So I think all ducks are in a row, and I just need to confirm a couple things:

Gate workers (2): Bernie and Neil have first dibs as usual, although not signed up at the moment

Tech: Shouldn't be too many cars to do although we can do the annuals too. I can help a bit. Anyone?

T&S: Should we have a T&S person for each afternoon heat (no cone calls/dnfs I'd say) when we combine the morning courses and maybe print some VERY unofficial times, or is that too much trouble? Maybe the last 15 minutes of each run group so there are a gazillion runs in the system? Just an idea since the gurus will be testing the 'autocross instant results' program. Feedback welcomed and let me know if this is just a crazy & unrealistic idea. :)

Lodging for anyone coming down Saturday: Jameson Inn http://www.jamesoninns.com/locations/laurinburg.html

Yeah, definitely let me know what you are thinking on this one because I wasn't planning on bringing the laptop.

Matt,
Bernie's instructing at VIR this weekend, so won't be available to do gate. Sorry

Matt: I will be unable to attend, but thanks for thinking of me! I doubt if a gate
person is very necessary anyway, since low attendance of veteran autoxers is the norm.

Thanks for letting me know Gwen & Neil.

Stephen, I think Carlton was asking about the laptop in the other thread regarding the new smartphone timing program. I'm sure he'll chime in or maybe you could PM him just in case?

Anyone have a gas blower we can use this weekend?

I have a commercial grade back pack blower you are welcome to use. A club member can either pick it up at my house (Raleigh, just outside the beltline off Wake Forest Rd.) before the event, or I can show up with it early Sunday morning. Please let me know either way.

Greg Fishel said expect rain Sunday at least for the Raleigh area, so Saturday may be best.

I did gate at last year's TnT - it was kinda lonely, but I don't mind doing it again. Or I can help with Tech - your call. :D I hope to be there by 8:30am.

Doubt you really need gate workers for a TnT, we got by many years with just having/mentioning the waver at the drivers meeting. Tech is much more important as you'll have many people wanting to get their annual tech out of the way.

If you want to test the smart phone instant results or to use the wireless timer display, your gonna need the the laptop up and running, you won't necessarily need someone manning it for the wireless display, but probably for the instant results, of course Carlton can probably do that himself while he is testing if someone shows him how to do it. You will also want to turn off "verbose" output to the wireless display in the AXWare software for a TnT, people will just want to see their times.

I'd be happy to do T&S for the day. Since it's looking like I'm not going to be driving Jason Watts' car this season due to sucky scheduling, I don't really have much testing and tuning to do this weekend. Still haven't made up my mind whether I'll run TIR or STR this season.

I do need to get hold of the laptop some time this week to deploy my software on it though. Who is the current keeper of the T&S laptop?

Maybe I should go preregister?

I can't say that I'm digging the weather forecast for Sunday, basically ran all day and in the 40's. Are we pressing forward w/ this or is anyone thinking of calling this one off? I wouldn't call off a true event for rain, but since this is the T&T, just wanted to see what the collective had to say.

Yes, I guess I'm a wimp....

On the upside, the mustang is back w/ all of the synchros replaced along w/ the blocking rings and 5th gear. I'm glad I took it in for inspection.

Dude,
I just drug 12 tires down two flights of stairs. (We keep them in a temp controlled apartment at the kennel.) I'm in for Sunday. Of course, if it's raining we'll use the rain tires that are on the car, and all this work was for naught.
I just feel for the guys who are setting this thing up. It's supposed to begin raining Saturday afternoon, I think.
Whatever you guys decide is cool.

I'm not scared and it just makes things more interesting for all the AWD/FWD to RWD noobs. Oh wait...

We'll just have to remember to mark the course(s) with the yellow lumber crayons.

Good to hear the McQueen Green machine is back so quickly.
