I like the idea of a skidpad if there's room and I can bring my 100' tape just in case. Finding a concrete area that isn't too botched up or cracked might be a challenge but I need an excuse to go ahead and order some Star Specs.

I'm game for whatever the EC's cook up for course(s) design, but the idea of linking the two courses to one for the afternoon session sounds pretty awesome.

I'll share my pyrometer if you need it. I'm trailering the car & bring two sets of wheels & tires - just incase.

Sweet! That will help me dial in some air pressures as a born again street tire user. :D

James, Brice had a pretty nice one at Laurinburg last year that I tinkered around with so he might have a good suggestion on what he & Mary use.

I need to get the Miata into the garage (I'm going to try to electric start it up my steep driveway) so I can pull off what's left of the R-S3s and put them on the 2.

I may have the industrial strength winch that my dad used to use to make sure that trees fell the right way when he was cutting them down on the farm (he'd hook it to another tree, usually). If I do, and it looks like it will work, I'll let you know.

I have a Rebco - seems to work well. It displays the temps very quickly - which is what you want. I've had it for about 10yrs. I think they are around $150 now.

Mine is an IR thermometer, I believe Longacre brand. You are welcome to use it some if you'd like.

Its basically just an IR thermometer, but the nice thing is that you can go ahead and take 12 readings quickly and not have to write them down (it has 12 memory spots that it cycles through).

I'm guessing you already know this, but you want a probe time pyrometer, not an IR one. I have the older version of this http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/prod ... Pyrometers, you could rent it from me rather than buy if you like. :D

The problem is that I have nothing to attach it to in the garage.

I'm still interested in trying, though. Haha

No, set up on Saturday, play around for a couple of hours, then test and tune on Sunday. Perfect autox weekend.

It was a suggestion for people not "helping with setup."

Heck, you have so many people there on sat. you might as well call that a TNT day too.
