I'm hoping to get Becca a sway bar for her 2007 Miata for Christmas (she's running stock right now). Can anybody recommend something appropriate? Alternatively, anybody have one lying around that they're not using? XD

I can help defray costs buy purchasing her old stock front bar, if that helps.

Noah might have one. RX8 and NC Miata FSBs are the same.

Steve, what do you need an NC FSB for?

Miata FSB does work nicely on the rear of the S2K from what I've heard... Did you get one?

The FSB on my Miata is hollow and 25mm. It's sold by Mazdaspeed and Eibach. I bought my Eibach from Stillen as they sell the front and rear bar separately. I think that I paid $130 5 years ago. My car is on the edge of being pushy, so I don't get a bar too much thicker. I think that the RX8 Automatic transmission bar is 28mm. You may have to grind off some of the flat portion of the bushing. That will prevent it from binding. Grass roots found an adjustable front sway for their STR project miata.

Try Jeremy Gast for the RX8 bar. He works at a salvage yard, Wagners in Durham I think.

I have a 32mm Hollow FSB from Racing beat and it fits the NC and RX-8. It's probably too stiff for a stock car and the endlink mounting holes are drilled out to 12mm - I think the stock endlinks are 10mm on the NC MX-5. It also only has one mounting position. http://www.racingbeat.com/RX8/Sway-Bars/14108.html

You'd have to drill out the lower control arms to 12mm and install 12mm endlinks to use it, which is what i did on the RX-8, but found the bar too be too stiff and eventually switch it out for the 27mm, 3 way adjustable bar from Hotchkis, which I highly recommend! http://www.hotchkis.net/mx5_front_sport_sway_bar.html

Wow, I'm a little late on this thread...

Jen,
We put the Hotchkis 25 hollow on the Mini and we're pretty satisfied. You might consider Hotchkis if you haven't already done something. Sorry to be so late to the party.
