I just saw a post on the highlands forums where Z-Max will close at 5p on Friday night. You can drop off trailers, but it will need to be done before 5. They are planning on setting up the course starting around noon.

So do you know if you happen to get there say between 4 and 5, was there any mention of being able to do course walks?

Rodney, are you getting there on Friday?

Let me get a list going of people who will be there on Friday and coming to Flying Saucer so we can try to get a table:

Me, Ram, Jeremy, John, Matt, Stephen, Judi.

Maybe Zach?

Maybe Kevin. What time is this happening? And what's going on Saturday night?

Saturday plans will probably be decided on Saturday when we're done driving :).

Lee and I are heading up there around 1 or so and hope to be on site around 3:30 to setup and drop off the trailer. Flying saucers sounds like a plan. According to the highlands forum, they are gong to start laying out the course around noon on Friday. I was thinking the same thing in regard to course walks. Hopefully that will happen.

They said that Zmax closes at 5, but don't if that means sharp of if there is any leeway.

Back on topic, GS is looking like weaksauce with only three entries, but not a huge surprise. Who wants a slow GS car these days anyway?

You have a quick Volvo in your class. Never thougt I would ever form a sentence with those exact words

But Randy that runs with NCR with his red S40 really slings that car around. I was surprised the first few times I saw it in action 8)

I totally mean the number of entries of course with only 3. I'm actually psyched to see that car in action too! GS is like that, you never know what might be the quickest in class, Volvo, Celica GT (no vvt but more torque)/GT-S (vvt), Genesis (I still like these despite the wheels), the neon, and the Protege.

How many more hours 'til first car off? Just from a scoring perspective, I think it will be interesting to see how the top ten raw & pax scoring will work out. Plus, the street tire index is something I'm not used to seeing. Should be interesting to see how some of the quicker drivers on street tires do. All in good fun of course.

Bernie and I will be there. He's trailering the miata so will drop it off @ Zmax before 5 PM. We'd like to be included in dinner. Thanks,

Gwennie

Will do Gwen. I might call FS to give them a heads up about our largish party. It might not help though since it's a Friday night.

Where is Dick Rasmussen.....he always talks about wanting a smooth surface.....zMax is about as good as you get! :)

Huh...i must have misread it, but do you think they are adding a "Street Tire" PAX to those of us running in Tire class, or just grouping us together in one PAX run group as is done typically?

I don't think they are doing a ST pax for TIR (ie an additional 0.975 or something on top of the base PAX).

Well, that would be something worth finding out for certain, since I'm running on street tires in SM. I don't give a crap about pax at the moment, but if it will help with the club cup thing...
