Do you have to be a novice to do the school? I am in open class but for sure could use some time being instructed.

I vote for novice/intermediate school. Not much difference between the two sometimes, anyway. And we should have plenty of instructors there who can handle any skill level.

I'd say sign up! You can never have too much seat time, and being a novice is more a frame of mind than a class you run in. If I thought people wouldn't give me crap, I would enroll. :D

Yes, enroll. Even with a few events under your belt we can find an instructor for you.

Yep, otherwise I would totally be there, ready to dispense vague and contradictory advice to anyone who will listen!

Event chairs and GM, PLEASE add some text to the novice school web page so novices will know what to expect for the day. You also need to validate pricing and lunch. Please forward the text to Carl and Emmie as soon as you can so it can be posted. This is the least we can do for the novices. :soap:

ok, getting off of my soap box now....

I couldn't recall, but do we encourage first-timers to attend the school too? I don't have any one in particular in mind, but was just wondering.

What better way to start the sport than with a bunch of seattime riding along with an experienced driver showing you the ropes? I know it's not an ideal scenario, but getting your feet wet with a novice school seems like an easier transition, especially for those that may be a little timid or reluctant.

Should be a great time and I think the Laurinburg layout will work great!

Btw,

In the event anyone didn't realize this, these are the words from our very humble FT-Stock holder (iirc) in at the first points event.

Yes anyone who is either a novice or has limited experience can attend. There is nothing better than repetition to help build mad skilz

STUDENTS/NOVICES

You need to register now for the school. We base the number of instructors on the number of participants. Don't let the drive to Laurinburg put you off - you will have a great time - AND GET FED!!!!

Best of all you will get all the great instruction that will make you the top of your class. All the drivers that you see at the top of the speed charts are graduates of the school. You want to be one of those.

Ladies - Do you want to beat your husband, or boyfriend? - Enroll.

Men - Do you want to make sure the above doesn't happen to you? - Enroll

Kids - Do you really want to beat your parent? - Enroll

Have you had the feeling at the end of the day that if you just had a couple more runs you could drop 2 more seconds? You will get those couple of more runs this time - AND MORE

You know how to register. This will be the best AX money you spend.

See you there

Anyone going to the school want to give me a ride home so I can leave the car there and be back in the morning? I have a ride back for raceday and would love to be able to leave my car down there. I can even chip in for gas.
